For domestic flights within Mexico and seasonal flights from LAX, La Paz International Airport to El Sargento is a 40 minute car ride. 20 Knots was designed with sustainability and environmental responsibility in mind. The house was built from single trip shipping containers. 15 kw of solar panels sit on the roof on the property, providing 80-100% of our power. 35 kw batteries ensure you will never be left in a black/brown out (frequent in La Ventana due to the unstable power grid). We recently installed a Rainstick shower, a Time magazine invention of the year for 2024; twice the flow while using 80% less water. A Hydraloop 300 recycles our shower, laundry and bathroom sink water for non potable use as flushing water in toilets and irrigation.
