"Having been attracted by the numerous positive feedback comments about Libelula prior to booking the property for our own holiday, (and I am quite thorough in my research) I can now give my own thoughts; if you are considering booking this, you've found the right place. You will not be disappointed. It was a privilege to stay there. The amenities available to you are comprehensive, the configuration and location is perfectly idyllic, the diverse wildlife often on view within the garden itself a joy to behold. The owner and rental company were very attentive to our every need and responded to us in a very timely manner on any query we might have and the property is suitable for all ages. I'm now of an age where I do now have a bucket list of destinations I would like to go to. If ever anyone were to compile a bucket list of properties you should stay at before you die, Libelula would have to be on it. In short a dream home with a spectacular view. An absolute privilege to stay there. I very much hope i have the opportunity to return in the future."

"A beautiful jungle setting, back from the road, fantastic property with privacy and a pool. The house was well furnished and we lacked for nothing while we were there. Bring groceries (and some fresh fish from town) and grill a lovely dinner on the deck. During the day, the place feels like a bird sanctuary and we enjoyed watching a Toucan go in and out of a rounded hole in the large tree behind the house to feed its chicks. We felt comfortable and at home during our stay. Internet was slow at times, spotty at others. Oh well, Pura Vida!"

"So, I want to be careful when writing this review. I’m not going to slam this place and say it’s total junk. It’s not. It is also not for anyone fancy, or anyone looking to enjoy a place near Sámara, and treat it as a home base. We stayed one night, and that was it. Carlos is a wonderful man who seems to be the manager. Very sweet, and you can tell he maintains the grounds and pool. The exterior of the cabanas are lovely, the pool is lovely, as are the flowers and such. I saw the reviews before we booked, but we were in a jam and said how bad can it be. I will be specific. The reviews said it was filthy. It is. The interior is gross. I’m sorry, but if housekeeping hasn’t been improved from reading the other reviews, there is a problem. I am not a fancy traveller, so I’m not being snooty about it. The shower was grungy. Like, thick, green grey grunge in the soap dish there, and by the sink. And oh lord the toilet. There was something that resembled feces on the toilet seat, pretty sure it was feces. The kitchen was gross. Grunge and something like a layer of something on everything. The blinds didn’t work and we just couldn’t “hang around” there. We slept under very thin sheets (that we made sure were clean) and left as soon as we could. Whoever owns this property, the outside is lovely. The decks, the flowers, the pool. But inside needs paint, caulking, and for the love of Pete, fire that housekeeper or at least give them a lesson on cleanliness!! "
