It is close enough to everything, but far enough off the main square to be quiet. It's mostly residential, so I'd suggest breakfast AT the hotel (which is great) - there are no quaint coffee/ breakfast places within a couple blocks. The property has many rooms, including meeting rooms (if you need any), and is accustomed to accommodating groups. Badezimmer allmählich in die Jahre gekommen, Duschwanne-Einstieg sehr hoch, Teile des Hotels sollen aber bald renoviert werden. Sehr gutes Frühstück und Service. Die örtlichen städtischen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind leicht zu Fuss erreichbar, natürlich ist der Fussweg zur Wartburg etwas länger und anstrengender, auch zum etwas ausserhalb gelegenen Burschenschaftsdenkmal. Das Personal war während unserer Aufenthaltes freundlich und engagiert. Die Zimmer und auch das Hotel sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, daher müsste es hier und da renoviert werden. Etwas schade, dass die Reinigungskräfte bei ihrer morgendlichen Arbeit es nicht für nötig hielten, mal über den Handtuchwärmer zu gehen, hier saß zentimeterdick Staub. :-( Man will hoffen, dass nicht überall so geschludert wird... Das Hotelrestaurant ist okay, auch, wenn man sich für Göbel´s deutlich mehr erwartet... Die Geschäfte und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Innenstadt und der öffentliche Bus zur Wartburg sind mit wenigen Schritten zu erreichen. Am Hotel sind Parkplätze und eineTiefgarage vorhanden. Parkplätze waren knapp, da der Parkplatz nicht zur Verfügung stand, auf der Straße parken ist an manchen Tagen verboten. Ansonsten alles gut.
