Thin walls... very thin

Posted 13-Oct-2016
Pros: not much
Cons: staff training information published on 3rd party booking services
Location: dump
walls are so thin one can hear every step when anyone is walking in the hallway.. pictures of inside looked much nice than the outside parking lots creepy at night...don't hang out there with your wallet...

Just as great as the one in Jasper

Posted 11-Oct-2016
Pros: It is a well maintained beautiful hotel with an Indigenous theme, right down to the toiletries that are from an Aboriginal entrepreneur.
Cons: Being that it is an Indigenous themed hotel, I believe that guests should be welcome to smudge in the lobby near the front door instead of outside.
Location: Walmart and IHOP are 500 meters away
We had a great stay in Jasper last year and when I saw the name of the hotel I knew it would be as great and I wasn't disappointed

Was ok but will not stay there again because we were told free breakfast was only for those who reserved a room directly with them. My response was if it was not for expedia we would not have picked them.

A classy and clean hotel.

Pros: Good location if there were no trains.
Cons: Lighting. Our room was 433. Enforcing no-smoking in the neighbouring rooms.
Location: Good restaurants nearby. We went to Red Lobster and Olive Garden. Malls are a drive but we expected that.
We stayed at the Sawridge last year and loved it. this year however, our junior suite was right by the railway tracks and kept us awake. We would never stay on that side again. It was just too noisy. Also, the lighting in the window side of the Junior suite was too dim. The lamps were not placed well but an overhead light would have improved the overall lighting problem. We found our room a bit warm but turning on the fan was also noisy. We didn't sleep well 2 nights out of the 3 we stayed. It was supposed to be non-smoking but there was smoking across the hall that permeated through the hallway. Not acceptable. A recommended place to stay otherwise though.
