It was fast check in , clean rooms and quiet . And wasnt a busy hotel which was good for us ..The breakfast was hot and good !

The room was very nice!! The hotel itself had just changed over to days inn … only problem is that their breakfast is only open 6-9 am!!

Dirty towel checker at 8:50am....
I check in fast enough, I've stayed here before so I know its a no-frills, super basic hotel. At 8:50am though I hear the knock on my door of the dirty laundry checker. She yells out "Laundry" as she knocks. I'm half asleep during the knocking so I just yell out" No thank you" About 10-15 minutes later, I hear another knock on the door. This time I get out of bed in my underwear to go to the door and ask what this is all about. I see a lady pushing a giant laundry cart, full of dirty towels. I ask her what service she is offering that she keeps knocking on my door.... In my head I'm thinking she is offering to do customers laundry for money, where you give her laundry at 9am and its done by the time you get back from work. Nope, I guess she is just trying to get enough dirty towels from rooms to put in a load of laundry. I tell her I only have one dirty towel from my shower last night, and I didn't bother getting it since I'm still standing behind the door in my underwear. At 11am the house keepers start doing the rooms, which is a different set of people that have nothing to do with the laundry checker. I ask front desk if I can have my room skipped for the dirty laundry check and I also mention its sort of weird. I mean the housekeepers would of grabbed my dirty towels at 11am, why bother knocking on doors at 8:50am with a big laundry basket. I'm told they are not suppose to start until 9am, and I'll be skipped from now on. I guess my questions must of offended.

If there has been no smoking in the rooms for so many years, why do the rooms, that look very clean, reek of cigarette smoke? The other strong odor was urine as if pets had been in the room. I could NOT sleep on account of how strong the smells were. I would never stay there again

Room is basic but clean. No beverage packs in room but not a concern. But how did a woman at 3 or 4 am came into the motel and made a racket, shouting very loudly and banging on the door next room so forcefully that i thought the door was going to give way and no one from motel staff intervened. The action continued for an hour.

Everything was good except I had to get someone to fix the tv , which was done as quickly as he could but it had not been checked before hand by the cleaning staff( on an html channel for a game machine) and there where little black flies coming from the sink drain. Rest of the room was clean though

I had to get a refund as one of the washing machines did not work when I did my laundry. The hotel clerk promptly checked the machine and when I returned in the evening from shopping; he gave me my $2 refund. The washing machines, dryers, and vending machines are managed by someone outside of the hotel. I was happy he refunded my loonies to me and put an "out of order" sign on the washer. The building is kept clean and it's fairly quiet now that fall has arrived.

Not Disabled Accessible or Friendly or Welcoming!
I was there because I am in between home's right now and was looking for a place to live and have feel like home until I found a new place that I could move into and make my forever home.I'm on both Provincial and Federal Disability and so I'm on a very tight budget and don't use or have an actual credit card and so I use Cash or Debit/Credit Card to pay for what I need.When I went to talk to the front desk about extending my stay the first time I was helped by the night clerk who quoted me a price that was $10 cheaper than what the owner was very firm and coldly telling me was what I was going to pay.I paid the price but left the interaction with her feeling like I was not very welcomed which was confirmed when I went to talk to the front desk 2 day's later and the owner's had put on display a sign that let me and everyone else who checked into the hotel that I was not wanted as a guest and it was made even more true when I asked about extending my stay for longer and was told that I was not able to stay longer because as the owner told me " They were going to be fully booked with evacuees from the NWT fire's before I was expected to check out the next day at 11 am and that I was not going to be able to book any of their room's to allow me to extend my stay no matter how I tried to book a room and then check into that room the next day."The owner was very cold and made sure to make me not only feel like garbage but that my money was not wanted or good enough for her hotel!
