Welcome to Oak Ridge Resort on Edisto Island where a “Change in Attitude” is guaranteed. Golfin’, Fishin’, Beachin’ Everyday Located on the south end of the island, this two bedroom, first floor condo is surrounded by amenities, minutes from the beach and has a beautiful view up the 4th fairway of Plantation Golf Course. We are so happy to share our beautiful home with guest and please respect and treat this with respect Space Living Space - The main living area has been recently updated with contemporary furnishings, (none of that 1970’s early goodwill décor here !) a sleeper sofa, a large dining table, access to the large screened-in porch with a newly added swing sofa and of course a flat screen TV with streaming capabilities- Hulu / ESPN / Disney Kitchen – The updated kitchen has granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The bay window provides beautiful views of the golf course while you are doing dishes. (Just kidding, there is a dishwasher).The kitchen is stocked with all the necessities and a few simple luxuries like a steam pot for shrimp, beer glasses and a margarita pitcher. There is even a wet bar for additional storage. Bedrooms - Both bedrooms have their own private bathrooms with updated cabinets and fixtures. The first bedroom has a queen bed, wall mounted flat screen TV and direct access to the screened-in porch. The second room has two double beds and its own wall mounted flat screen TV. Plantation Golf Course – Pro shop is located across the road from Ella & Ollie’s Restaurant. If you plan on playing multiple rounds, a TPC Club Membership ($50) will save you 30 % per round. From the porch, you can see the 4th Green. Beach Chair / Umbrella Rentals – The resort Amenity Pass will get you access to the showers and restrooms at the Cabana Beach. Bike Rentals – You guessed it, Water’s Edge Café We just re arranged the porch and put up a swing set which allows you to enjoy the seating more. (2 adults and 1 child ( max weight is 500 lbs). All Amenities are being managed by Wyndham and the fee for a week is $250 . We did have some issues with the wifi not working, but the owner was very responsive in trying to get it fixed as quickly as possible. The home is just as depicted. Beautiful, newly renovated and comfortable, spacious, clean and the screened porch with oversized swing was wonderful and larger than expected for vacation homes. Amazing kitchen with many extras. I highly recommend this rental! The only complaint during the whole vacation was that the internet was down. We notified the owner first day and the problem was never resolved costing us dearly in data charges. He was able to schedule repair service 7 days later, on a Sunday, the day we were leaving. There were 4 adults and we were able to stretch out and have our own rooms as well. The kitchen was well supplied, the table was nice and big, the living room furniture was comfy, but the best was the screened-in porch. We ate meals out there, napped out there, and even watched the deer during their evening feeding. There were about 10 of them and it was great. I DID NOT GET MY $250 deposit back for leaving the keys inside when we left. Later I found the warning in an odd place at the bottom of the "overview page". There is a place for instructions within the listing, the owner just has not added them. If it is going to cost the guest their deposit, I would suggest a hard copy of check in/ check out instructions in the rental. We left the place spotless, so that was extremely infuriating, as a damage deposit would be for a damage. And there were none.I would have paid for a lock smith, but he was dismissive and rude when he called. Perhaps communicate that as a reminder on the day of check out. Even when I spoke to him, realizing in was not supposed to leave the keys there, he did not say my deposit was at stake. Other than that, yes it was lovely. ##### Jill D. I and my 3 sisters, all between 60-69, spent 5 fun-filled days here. The house was very nice. It had plenty of room and includes a welcoming screened porch! Every morning and evening we watched the deer come from the golf course to our yard and those yards around us. We even say a white deer! I’ve stayed in these once time-share properties since the late 80’s and this is the best experience I’ve ever had. This unit is recently remodeled, is spacious and accommodating. We had family drop by one day and spent the entire day on the most comfortable porch you can imagine. Another day brought a guest from nearby Beaufort and we were able to accommodate her with a separate bed and bath. Everything was immaculately clean (very comforting). Extremely well appointed, I brought several incidentals only to find the owner had anticipated my needs in cooking, cleaning, etc. Check in only received 4 stars due to an omission by VRBO - not the owner. I still had not received an access code by the time I arrived, but a quick text to the owner resolved that.
