The dining room can host at least 8 people and is attached to a fully-equipped kitchen, which opens to a South-facing back garden, protected from chilly winds and a real sun-trap. Great for outdoor dining when the weather behaves! Our home is on a quiet street facing the amazing Queen's Park and Arthur's Seat. It is just a few minutes walk to numerous shops, restaurants, pubs and public transport links to the city centre. It take about 20 minutes to walk to Waverly train station, Princess Street, and Edinburgh Castle. It is around 10 minutes walk to the University where many of the Edinburgh Fringe events take place. During those few days in this house, I realized that the place where you choose to sleep during a trip is not just a simple "dormitory" but can change your appreciation of the whole journey.Magnus's house is ideally located, less than twenty minutes from the hypercenter of Edinburgh. But above all, it is warm, lively, and tastefully decorated. There are artworks everywhere, an incredible vinyl collection, and a great many books available.This trip completely turned me off from lifeless B&Bs with white walls, optimized for short-term rentals. And by the way, it's the only time in my life that I find the photos in a listing do not do justice to the accommodation.Just being able to rest in this house after a day spent outside really gave a whole different color and vibe to our trip.Every time I return to Edinburgh (which is a magnificent city, even in winter), I will definitely try to stay at Magnus's. ##### Elie-Albert S.
