I booked this property many months in advance as I had planned to go to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the hotel is close to The Pleasance Courtyard venue. I think I paid over £300 per night for a weekend during the Fringe. The Fringe was cancelled due to Covid but Expedia would not allow me to postpone my visit, even though the hotel agreed. The room was tiny and cramped. I did feel a bit aggrieved to be paying £300 for a room which would usually cost £80. Expedia were difficult to reason with, I've used them lots of times previously but won't be booking with them again. Breakfast buffet cancelled for obvious reasons, but replaced with an unappetising breakfast bag. I would rather have had some money refunded and gone out for breakfast.

Easily stay there again
This hotel was great! A few blocks from the train station, a block from the royal mile and quiet. It was I little hard to find by foot because of the layout of the city with upper and lower streets. But so worth it. Breakfast was great. They even offered a very early breakfast if you had to depart early. I have recommended it already and would stay there again. Our view was fantastic.
