This lovely 46m2 apartment is located on the 3rd floor and is accessible via a staircase of approximately 66 steps. While it does require a bit of a workout, guests are rewarded with a quiet and bright space at the top. We recommend taking this into consideration when booking. Step into a bright and welcoming open-plan living space that blends comfort with contemporary style. The living room features a cosy sofa, a stylish armchair, and a smart TV to watch all your favourite shows. Natural light floods in through the large windows, enhancing the airy feel of the space, while carefully placed indoor plants add a touch of nature. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped, boasting clean white cabinetry, a sleek microwave, and a natural wood countertop that doubles as a breakfast bar with stools, perfect for casual dining or a morning coffee. The bedroom contains a comfortable queen-size bed with hotel-quality linens to ensure a good night's sleep and multiple storage spaces. The bathroom has all the amenities you will need to freshen up, including fresh towels and toiletries for your convenience. The apartment is always professionally cleaned for your comfort. Tucked just to the west of Edinburgh's city centre, the Dalry area is a lively and well-connected neighborhood that offers a blend of traditional charm and urban convenience. The streets are lined with classic Victorian tenement buildings, giving the area a timeless character that reflects the rich history of the city. As you stroll along the main road, the scent of fresh pastries and roasted coffee drifts from a mix of independent cafés and bakeries, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Dalry has a strong sense of community, with small local shops, cozy pubs, and international eateries nestled between modern amenities. A short walk leads to the open green space of Harrison Park or the Union Canal towpath, perfect for a morning jog or a relaxed evening walk. Despite its central location, the area manages to maintain a peaceful residential feel, with tree-lined side streets and well-kept communal gardens. The property is easily accessible by public transport and car. The nearest train station, Haymarket, is just a 6-minute walk. Edinburgh Airport is a 25-minute drive from the property. This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before being able to check into the flat. You can check in any time of the day as long as you respect our standard check-in time (3 PM). Also, we charge £50 for each set of lost keys (security keys may cost more). There may be an additional cost to replace the locks for security purposes. So, please keep your keys safe. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a minimum of £300 for the smoking fee. We do not allow parties, large gatherings, loud noises, or outside guests. Should we receive sufficient evidence of such activity, we reserve the right to cancel your stay (without a refund) and may involve a security team to evict you. Any associated cost will be charged to you via your security deposit. Sep 2, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, location Disliked: Listing accuracy There was never any mention in the property description that it was third floor walkup, having to climb more than 60 steps. I didn't learn this until a few days before I checked in and received the check in instructions, much to late to cancel and receive a refund or to start searching around for another place. I'm 75 years old and although it was an effort to climb the more than 60 stairs to the unit, many people would not be able to. Also, the building wasn't secure as the dead bolt lock on the front door to the street did no secure the dorr and the door could be pushed open from the outside with minimal effort. There are definitely some great aspects, but a few things did detract from the overall comfort.\*\*Positives:\*\*\* The \*\*location is excellent\*\*, especially if you plan to use public transport—buses were easily accessible.\* The apartment itself has a \*\*charming old-world feel\*\* that really suits the Edinburgh vibe.\* It felt \*\*cosy and welcoming\*\*, a nice place to come back to after a day of exploring.\* There are \*\*lovely little shops and cafes nearby\*\*, which added to the local experience.\*\*Areas for Improvement:\*\*\* We \*\*couldn’t figure out the heating system\*\*, and there were no clear instructions provided.\* One of the \*\*three door keys was very difficult to use\*\*—it took several tries each time to get it to work.\* The \*\*main common area door didn’t lock\*\*, which raised some safety concerns.\* The \*\*staircase was poorly lit\*\*, and being on the \*\*third floor\*\* made luggage a bit of a challenge.\* Some areas in the flat \*\*seemed neglected by the cleaning team\*\*—could have used a more thorough touch.\* There was a \*\*sign about rats\*\* at the main entrance to the building.
