Dec 29, 2022 #### Vacasa Mismanagement of 8 night stay I stayed eight nights at Little Cozy Corner and spent more time troubleshooting internet and attempting to deal with Vacasa management than anyone would tolerate.The internet worked less than 25% of the time. It randomly went out for hours on end and randomly came back on. I reset the router over 100 times in 8 days. The bathroom door (opening into the kitchen) would not shut completely - leaving about a 2" opening. The kitchen cabinets have no pull knobs - thus, requiring the person trying to open one to wedge fingers in between the crevice and try to pry the cabinets and drawers open. None of these items were ever addressed, despite numerous texts and calls to Vaasa.When I arrived, the silverware drawer consisted of 1 teaspoon & 1 tablespoon, 3 forks, & 1 butter knife - all mismatched. Finally, on day 6 I received an updated set. Also on arriving, there were 4 mismatched pieces of glassware. 1 antique looking Sherry glass, one older champagne flute, and 2 mismatched highball glasses. No wine glasses..I received some matching highball glasses on day 5.I also had a problem with the bedroom air conditioner on day 1 that got resolved on day 2.It should have been painfully obvious to anyone prepping the unit for rental that there were serious deficiencies that needed to be addressed and I'm sure prior occupants reported these issues. Unfortunately, it seems that the Vacasa management for this property would just rather ignore the issues and wait for the unit to turn over again.I reported all of these issues on day one or day two of my stay.Attempts to contact Vacasa about these unresolved issues continue to go ignored even after checkout. The space itself is nice and the location is very good - it's just not properly managed. Very cute place, very typical beach cottage and the in window AC was a nice touch! It was also awesome to have the big yard and outdoor deck to sit on with friends and family. The living room, etc were cute but we did not use them. A few issues: the blinds are still see through as others have mentioned and the door from the bedroom to the outdoors doesn't really lock (not a huge problem in Edgartown). Finally, Vacasa's late check out fees are high ($95 for four hours). May avoid booking with Vacasa in the future as a result. ##### Tory B. The bathroom cabinet still does not open -- it hits the light fixture when you try to open it. The shades on the windows are nice, but there is only one privacy shade in the bedroom (the other window needs one, too). The bathroom door did not stay closed, but when we contacted management, they sent someone over right away to fix it. Last thing: needs a coffee pot! The location is great. The entrance/living room looks nice. The countertop and refrigerator in the kitchenette were clean. The bathroom was clean, the bedsheets and pillows and towels were clean. The outdoor table and chairs and the outdoor shower were a great addition. I'm sorry to say that the cottage requires significant updates. We were not able to open the sofa bed in the living room and saw a lot of spiderwebs so probably it hasn’t been used and cleaned for a long time. We decided to find an airbed and sleep on that. The WIFI was not working when we arrived on Saturday. Property manager was responsive but it took a couple of days to fix it. We’ve been offered a refund for the disservice. The window AC units are held together with duct tape. The heating system around the house is old and rusty and falling apart in the kitchen. The kitchenette needs some attention. I’ve visited during COVID so we didn’t go to restaurants. The plates, glasses, utensils, bowls should be washed. I’ve found a dead cockroach in a baking dish. The cabinets and drawers in the kitchen are very hard to open (sticky because not cleaned or just a poor design?). The trash can with foot pedal is broken and the lid has a crack! The bathroom cabinet is VERY OLD. I couldn’t open it. The curtains in the bathroom are too short so you don’t have privacy in the bathroom if someone is on the deck. The heater in the bathroom is rusty. In the bedroom, there are stains on the ceiling. Two shades are broken and need to be replaced. Nice size closet in the bedroom but full of old stained pillows, blankets, and all different hangers and maybe a beach towel. We didn’t touch anything. When I’ve opened it, there was an ironing board opened with iron and a table lamp on it! Why do you keep a lamp on the iron table in the closet? I don’t mind old houses but I feel that nobody (owner or property manager) is taking care of this cottage. Minor suggestions: In the summer, make sure you turn on the AC before the arrival of your guests. Provide cleaning supplies. Only a travel-size dish detergent and dishwasher pods (but there is no dishwasher!). Nothing else. Not a broom and dustpan. Please provide a wine opener. I couldn’t open a bottle wine with the pocket corkscrew. The couch should be cleaned underneath, as well as all the windows. However, the apartment is a little worn and could use a good coat of paint and scrubbing. Also, the internet only worked sporadically, which was troublesome because my wife and I had to work remotely while we were there. Jul 21, 2020 #### Cute Cottage This is a very well located cottage just an 8 minute walk to the center of Edgartown. Not in perfect condition, but fine for a cottage. Some things to note, however: -There is no washer/dryer -There was no wifi, there was a signal but we played with it for hours and couldn't get it to work on any of our devices. -The pull out bed is no good, the mattress is wafer thin and the bars underneath make sleeping on it impossible. My daughter slept on the couch without pulling out the bed, but if you're more than 5'6" it won't work. ##### Kenneth J. Jul 7, 2020 #### Not great, but ok for the price This place needs many updates. The sleeper sofa mattress is in such bad shape, you cannot sleep on it. Many broken window blinds. Chairs at the dining table are broken and very wiggly. Luckily I am very petite, but if a heavy person set on it, it could brake. Disappointed, that during the pandemic we saw staff cleaning the unit next door with no gloves and masks. I doubt they sprayed the unit with disinfectant as Vacasa website claims. Location is ideal. Units, especially one-bedroom, could use some freshening/updating. For example, the bathroom door didn't stay closed. We just returned from a weekend in Edgartown and were very pleased with the size, comfort & location of this property. Less than a 10 minute walk from downtown and with the super convenient Katama General Store around the corner, it was easy to get around. The pictures don't even show the adorable breakfast nook, and the sunny window seat was by far my favorite spot to sit. I had asked for early checkin weeks prior via email and never heard back but we took a chance and was pleasantly surprised when we were able to check in at 2pm. I am not one to complain, but the shower was the worst part of the cottage. The mixing valve was broken, so I either could choose a freezing cold shower with no pressure or a scalding hot one. Not to mention the shower curtain was covered in mildew, something that's an easy fix, but nonetheless a disappointment. From the previous reviews, I knew that the accommodations were going to have a stuffy smell to it and that was accurate. You got used to it but it was a bit overwhelming upon entering the house. Thank goodness for the space heater & extra blanket, it got down to the 30s overnight and it was freezing! All in all, I would definitely stay again & recommend it to a friend, but would hope the shower is fixed before our return. Thank you! ##### Chrissy M.
