Horrible to working staff
Long check in, not the lady’s fault, she was very nice. So many people waiting. The bar is almost unattended always, again very lovely friendly lady. But she was covering the bar and restaurant. Restaurant, far to expensive and no choices. Buffet only. Breakfast so expensive for so little. Check out was with another friendly lady, but people just fed up with queuing and just left key cards and left. Not enough staff here at all. Big problems. But the staff there was running around everywhere. I wanted to complain but didn’t have the heart while watching them work so hard to keep everyone happy. Shame on you management and owners. Find another hotel people. Keith

Good hotel for the money, especially considering the nice breakfast spread. The rooms were clean and functional, but I would have liked a few more amenities. For example, there were only 2 small bottles of water in the room, and no other source of water in the hotel after hours. A mini-bar would have been nice. Overall, a good experience.

Very satisfied customer!
Excellent service and very friendly staff. Unfortunately, during our stay the swimming pool facilities were closed due to coronavirus pandemic but we checked the pool and looks really impressing like a little lagoon. Great choice around Magdeburg area!

Friendly staff, only stayed for two nights and didn’t get to experience the entire hotel experience. It definitely had so much more to offer. Located about 8 minutes from the city center.

Dear Mr. Abeid, We regret very much that you did not have a pleasant stay with us and also that Magdeburg as capital of Saxony Anhalt did not convince you. Magdeburg is a very interesting historical city which offers a lot of free time activity and is also well known for sightseeing and tourism. To show our guests the beauty of Saxony Anhalt's capital, we provide a wide choice of brochures which you can find at the info point next to our reception. In addition, our reception staff will always be at your hand in case of questions about city maps, sightseeing, excellent restaurants etc. Please note that in our hotel description it is not mentioned that we have air condition in the hotel rooms. Furthermore, we would like to inform you that since the early 90th, most of the hotels in Magdeburg - about 95 % - are not equipped with an air condition. In Germany, this is not standard and currently only the newly built hotels have air condition in their rooms. Michel Hotel is about to change that and plans to provide at least some of our hotel rooms with an air condition. As we are sure you will understand, this will take some time and cannot happen overnight. We would be happy to welcome you again in our hotel, maybe later on if the updated rooms with air condition are available!

Out of town but ok
Nice business hotel but unless you have a car it is too far from the downtown area (walk to nearby tam was about 6-7 min). There is no AC so rooms facing west have no chance for cooling in the summer until late at night with the windows open. There was an outside party with live band at the nearby apt complex the night we were. (bring earplugs). Terrific breakfast buffet.

1 night in hell
I use a hotel for two purposes 1 to sleep - this did not happen due to some other guests (I was later told that it was some concert party) deciding to hold a party in an adjacent room. After 3 calls to reception it eventually stopped at about 02:30 am 2 eat - after eventually getting my meal after waiting about 40/45 mins it arrived cold, tasteless in a metal skillet that was that cold the herb butter did not even melt ! I couldn't eat it so it was left I did not even get an apology from the waitress. On checking out and complaining to the reception the cost of the meal was removed but no deduction was given relating to the accommodation as this was pre paid !

Perfect hotel for a short stay
Staff was very attentive and very helpful. Hotel very nice, clean and bright. Location is not great, but perfect for travellers like me, who needed one night stay. The only thing I found in some European hotels (and in this as well) is additional for parking the car. I think that if you are a guest in a hotel the parking should be included.

Totally OK for the price.
The hotel staff were all very professional and friendly. The hotel is in light industrial area some distance from the town centre but relatively well serviced with transport diverse links. The two waitresses serving in the hotel restaurant were exceptionally good with a professional yet personal and friendly service. International guests would no doubt dislike the German-style pillows on the beds but these are unfortunately commonplace in many German hotels. Such pillows are more like tiny bed quilts completely lacking in neck support and unfortunately very good at accumulating unwanted heat on a hot summer night. Some Germans and indeed some hotels in more cosmopolitan cities are slowly discovering the benefits of more modern and comfortable pillows.

Great hotel - poor customer service
Overall great hotel - especially for the price. The room was adequate and clean and it was a nice bonus to be able to take a swim in the pool. My only complaint was the service at the front desk. I had to wait several minutes while the lady was finishing up with some sort of sorting of bills and money before she was "ready" to take care of me. Sorry, but when my check-in process only took less than a minute, I have no understanding for being TOLD that I have to wait - and then for several minutes - especially at a four-star hotel!

Very professional as one would expect from an international brand. Location a bit off the centre but good public transport connection. Good for travellers with cars: enough parking, close to hwy access (hotel rooms themselves quiet though)

Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Personal teils freundlich, auch manchmal nicht sehr kommunikativ. Die Zimmerausstattung ist noch verbesserungsfähig. Schade das der Whirlpool nicht in Betrieb und das Wasser in den anderen Pools ziehmlich kalt war. Hatte mich darauf gefreut zu entspannen.

Verschrikkelijk Verblijf
Ten eerste is het hotel slecht telefonisch te bereiken. Bij aankomst in het hotel, heb ik 20 minuten moeten wachten voordat er iemand kwam. De meneer bij de receptie was nors. Hij heeft mijn id niet gecontroleerd en heeft mij van geen enkele informatie voorzien bij het inchecken. Wij hadden een junior suite geboekt. Bij binnenkomst, zag de kamer er netjes uit, maar stonk het ongelooflijk. In de badkamer zag ik bij het open doen van de wcbril een grote drol drijven. De wc spoelde niet door. Na dit gemeld te hebben kregen we een andere suite. Bij het binnenkomen van deze kamer werd ik verwelkomd door luid gegil. Deze kamer bleek bezet te zijn. Uiteindelijk heeft de man achter de balie met tegenzin twee losse kamers boekt. We waren veel tijd kwijt en hij was erg onvriendelijk. De kamers waren redelijk, maar wel erg stoffig. Het hotel was zoals op de foto, maar erg primitief. Ik vind het geen 4 sterren waard. Het ontbijt was wel prima.

Schreckliches Hotel, sehr abgewohnt altbacken, teilweise ein bisschen muffig Frühstücksraum gefühlt 1970 stehen geblieben das ganze Erscheinungsbild dieses Hotels von innen ist furchtbar personal war ein kleiner Lichtblick die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich das war aber auch alles.

Vi havde ikke fået besked om at restauranten var lukket. Det er ikke et sted hvor man bare kan finde et andet sted at spise. Vi fandt et sted med take away. Det var ikke lige det vi ønskede. Kedeligt område.Thai pigen i receptionen var svær at forstå. Swimmingpool var mega kold . For dyrt i forhold til hvad man ellers kan få.
