« We loved our stay. From the outside the hotel looks run down and not operational but once inside it is gorgeous. The staff were so nice and shared the history of the building. Beautiful old hotel from 1870. Each room is decorated differently. The staircase defines grand. Bed was very comfortable and it was so quiet. We will be back for sure. »

« ALL OF THE STAFF at the Black Hawk are BEYOND Kind & Welcoming. We loved staying here 3 nights as we provided support to our fam on Ragbrai. We switched rooms and both were terrific. Spacious and clean with a lot of eclectic antiques throughout the hotel. Bartender at Cocktail lounge makes some great drinks and is also SUPER NICE. Great location with lots of restaurant options / bars. »
« I stayed here for a month on a business trip. It was a very pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a full kitchen, but you have to purchase cook ware or bring your own. Did not receive housekeeping, but I cleaned my own room. I had no issues and will definitely stay again. »
« Whether you call it the Hyatt Place or Hyatt House, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. It definitely helped that they upgraded me from a standard king room to a suite due to room availability.
I only stayed one night and was not able to take advantage of the full kitchen other than the nearly full sized refrigerator. I also didn't get a chance to check out the exercise room, the pool or the bar on the 9th floor, but the bar in the lobby was nice and the food good.
