This property is situated in a peaceful gated mews just off the High Street in the Meads Village area of Eastbourne, a quieter part of the town with its own range of shops, pubs, and restaurants. The local beach is backed sheltered by cliffs at one end, and by pretty, Italianate gardens at the other. The main town centre is a mile from the property, easily accessible on foot or by regular local buses. The town’s beach is a wide expanse of shingle, whilst, at low tide large areas of sand are revealed, making it perfect for beach games, sunbathing, and swimming. Other attractions in the town include an interesting lifeboat museum; the restored Victorian pier with its tearooms, nightclub, and restaurant; and a fantastic water sports centre.
On arrival at this property, guests will find a gate which leads them into the courtyard from where French doors open onto the lounge/diner. This tastefully decorated room has a restful atmosphere with its muted colours, plantation shutters, comfortable sofa, and dining table seating two. There is a TV/DVD perfect for relaxing with a film in the evenings. A door leads through to the separate kitchen which is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and washing machine. Steep turned stairs lead from the lounge to the first floor where there is an elegant king-size bedroom with a nautical theme and plantation shutter, and which benefits from its own TV. Next to the bedroom, there is a shower roomwith WC.
Outside, there is a south-facing courtyard garden with a table and chairs, where guests can sit and enjoy the sunshine, perhaps over al fresco drinks. There is private off-road parking for two cars in front of the property.
