Pleasant and peaceful

Great location, large, good lounge bar area, good breakfast. In fact everything is large about this hotel on a quiet Sunday. Room was just too hot despite efforts with radiator valve!

Perfect location

Posted 20-Jan-2016
Pros: Location was perfect for the beach, for walking on the promenade, hiking in the hills and shopping.
Cons: As it is a converted/modernised old building, whilst the period features in the communical areas are grand the room facilities were little outdated.
Location: Location was perfect for the beach, for walking on the promenade, hiking in the hills and shopping.
Hotel reception is very modern, clean and grand. First impression of the hotel was very good. The rooms, if you don't have a room with a sea view, there is nothing special about the rooms. The facilities are outdated as you would expect from a building of that age. The room that we stayed in was at the back of the hotel so did not have sea view. The room was very spacious and the bathroom clean. Our stay was very comfortable and the location was superb.

Very good hotel close to beach

Posted 17-Jan-2016
Pros: Central, clean, quiet, superb buffet breakfast.
Cons: Windows could be serviced to make easier to open for fresh air.
Location: Easy access to beach, promenade and the Towner Gallery.
Helpful check in.. Car parking in side road for £1 per day. TV fully functioning instead of usual restricted channel access. New bottles of still water in room daily, etc, etc. Fantastic.

Tolles altes Hotel.

Posted 7-Jan-2016
Pros: Schön altenglisch und zentral, direkt am Meer.
Cons: Heizproblem lösen.
Alles super.

Great location comfortable rooms - and restaurants

Posted 8-Dec-2015
Pros: The restaurant and the staff Location Breakfast
Cons: Patking issue : all other hotels in area have a parking ticket facility at £1 per day This Hotel charges £4 per day at their own car park
Location: Great walks brighton shopping trip Lewes old town - ️lots of character
Celebrating my Birthday and a great weekend away : lovely hotel but modern rooms smaller then expected Older part of hotel in need of new decor and decent beds The staff are excellent - especially the Polish porters and all staff in restsurant The spa area vey small and could be a hit if expanded and offered guests promotion at the spa Also the beauty therapist could have given us details of the promotions but did not seem interested

We were upgraded to a sea view room, which was great. Huge comfy bed, clean and spacious room, lovely bathroom and dressing area. Good breakfast too. Would recommend G&Ts sat under the enormous chandelier in the lounge area - lovely!
