Ghent Centrum is an excellent hotel, parking underneath and amazing sauna and steam room. Serda on reception was absolutely lovely , so friendly & helpful, she gave us an upgraded room.

Location is great, close to everything. Rooms are dated, novotel early 2000's style standard. they are ok, but really could do with an update. TBH it looks like the bathrooms have been done, but the main room could do with more. The carpark.....BE brave..your car can fit...but its definitely squeeky bum getting in and out of there. A lot of back and forth driving to a tolerance of less than 2cm!

Fantastic location and great hotel
Usual very high Novotel standards of cleanliness, staff, furnishing and service. The location of the hotel is fantastic … right in the centre of Gent and a 2 min walk from the no.1 tram line direct to St Peter’s station. Also has a car park (not used). Staff were brilliant, really polite and helpful. WiFi free and consistent good quality. Bar has good selection. Room (executive) was really quiet, Iots of space and storage, great coffee machine and even a view across the roof tops towards the castle. Would thoroughly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.

As expected
This hotel is in a great location for exploring the city. The staff were helpful and everything was clean. The rooms are quite dated and are in need of redecorating, and the mattress was very, very firm. The cleaner did try to enter our room despite having the 'do not disturb' sign on the door, and we found things to be quite noisy in the morning. I probably wouldn't return to this hotel.

Parts of the hotel, in particular our room, are badly in need of refurbishment. The lock to our door had been vandalised, though it functioned. The door closer to our room had been removed and we returned one day to find the door open. The basin in our bathroom was blocked. These were reported to reception, we were assured they would be dealt with, but nothing was done. Housekeeping was pretty dreadful. On arrival we had no shampoo, the next 4 days we had dirty cups, no tea bags, no spoons/stirrers etc every day. Very irritating. Breakfast was adequate but the hotel offered no other dining. The bar was occasionally open but usually empty.

Expensive hotel for the outdated it shows. Well located, but outdated and not very clean, you could see fingermarks all around the room and it was a "Superior room". Breakfast was good though.
