An amazing location, friendly staff, you wont be disappointed! Its a great spot, with a beautiful location, clean/updated rooms. Staying at Smugglers Cove was the highlight of our trip!

Great restaurant, great room
The breakfast buffet was amazing. Plenty of food, lots of choices. The parking was difficult; that was probably the worst thing about the Inn. But looking at the landscape you can see there isn't much place for improvement there and they have done the best they can with the land they have.

We had a ocean front room that was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and included with the price of the room. There are new owners who appear to be doing their best to make renovations and upgrades. We would definitely recommend and stay again should we come back this way!

Cute little bedroom with fridge & microwave & TV. My husband & I were really looking forward to use pool & paddle board/kayaks but there were missing parts. The pool was covered in filled with pollen-which wasn’t kept up with so it was green. The paddle board were missing ankle strap & the kayak was missing a seat so we weren’t comfortable using those amenities. Breakfast was decent each morning & we were excited to try the dinner on site but it was waaay overpriced & not many options. We would probably stay again for the fact it was reasonably priced & convenient.

Anniversary Get Away
Our visit to Smugglers cove Inn was very nice. The unit was comfortable, clean and had a gorgeous view! Our only issue was with the satellite TV due to inclimate weather - which they did all they could to try to fix to no avail. We enjoyed our time in Boothbay Harbor.

Over-rated
Small, outdated rooms lack electrical outlets , counters and lighting. Floors seem to be tilted, not level. Plus side is room was clean and nice location on the water.

Good for what it is…a converted motor inn with additional buildings. Everyone was very nice but the a/c was so loud we had to turn it off the sleep. The breakfast buffet was all cold. Good enough to sleep in a relatively clean room, but not somewhere we’d return to.

Beautiful property. Pool was saltwater, warm and beautiful! There were all kinds of boats, no extra charge. Lawn games, fire pit, incredible views! Close to downtown/harbor but I really would’ve been happy to hang at the property the whole time. Our room’s mattress was lumpy and I couldn’t believe it, you could tell just by looking at it when you walked in the room. Parking was horrendous, but they can’t do much better, it’s like that all around here, rocky shoreline, limited space. Besides the mattress, it was a dream!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and the facilities at Smuggler's Cove Inn! We are surprised you found the mattress lumpy - all our mattresses were recently upgraded this season. We agree that parking is a challenge in our coastal location, especially during the busy season, but hopefully, the trade-off with the view is worth it. We hope to see you again next season!

We loved it so much. We were there in June. This yr we’re going back in august 23 and staying in the same building and same room. Loved the private balcony. Beautiful view.

This is an amazing hotel , and the staff was quite wonderful too. From the dining room to the reception desk both staff were friendly and very accommodating. The free breakfast was great , restaurant quality and conveniently from 4-8 they offer dinner at reasonable prices. Bottom line I would definitely stay again!

Enjoyable, Relaxing Visit
Cleaniness of rooms exceptional. Buffet breakfast and service at breakfast exceptional. Given 2 big choc.chip cookies upon registration-nice touch. No maid service during 2 night stay. No cups in either room for brushing teeth. Very little shampoo left in dispenser. (any supplies provided by Inn available only in morning at specific time so out of luck for replacement if you didn't check before use (ex. when in shower later in night same day arrival). There were no electric outlets in room. The only one electric outlet was located in bathroom. It was a possible safety hazard when using any power cord plugged into outlet - mounted wall soap&lotion dispenser next to electric outlet (both above side of sink) lends itself to spillage on cord if not careful when using. . TV satellite remote hard to navigate-recommend short step-by-step instructions. We enjoyed our visit - lovely, comfortable room with view of bay--rainbow appeared in sky! Gorgeous shrubs and plants around all Inn buildings.

Such a fabulous little get away. Too cold to try the pool or the kayaks/paddle boards provided but enjoyed the fire pit. Room was very comfortable and the breakfast was quite good. Would definitely stay here again! Only issue was our stay was too short!

This is a very nice place with a great beach to sit on, heated pool, and an enjoyable campfire every night. We enjoyed it very much. Breakfast was delicious. It doesnt have all the fancy amenities that some places have, but a great place to stay.

We found almost everything about the Inn excellent with one major exception, the hard beds. In fact, the beds were so hard we thought that they may actually be box springs instead of mattresses. They offer no solution, not even a mattress pad. I happened to take a thin air mattress and it really came in handy for me but my wife tried to use some blankets and it didn't work well. they also did not offer any compensation either.

Rooms recently refurbished and reappointed. Rooms very nice. Exterior of the property needs sprucing up. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had an initial issue with the room, but the manager accommodated us. Very nice "continental" breakfast that was much more than that...eggs, pancakes, potatoes, bacon and sausage, fruit, bagels, etc included. Waterfront views from all rooms. Just a few miles from Boothbay Harbor. Quiet location. Enjoyed our stay.
