Lakeshore retains the expansive porch of a classic cottage and offers proximity to the lake and trails while the kitchen, baths and furnishings are updated for today's lifestyles. Unit A (4 br/3 baths) occupies the second and third floors providing views , a screened-in porch off the living room, third floor tv room (or additional sleeping) laundry room, fully equipped kitchen and mountain stone patio. There is plenty of parking and two driveways. Comfortable mattresses and appropriate number of towels and linens provided. We offer a full SEVEN DAY WEEK RENTAL (check out Sat a.m.) Don't miss out on Friday a whole other day and night and all of Friday's activities! Minimum rental is six days June 20 - August 29\. Two night minimum during the spring and fall seasons. Cleaning and pet fee, if warranted, is shown in your total stay calculation. There is a lake fee per the EM Lake Association (private lake). The common area was large enough for us to spread out, and the separate bedrooms and third floor provided privacy. For part of the time, there was another group staying on the first floor, but we never heard them. The owners stopped by at one point and spoke with some members of our group who were outside at the time. They were friendly and eager to be helpful if needed. The property was well-stocked and so convenient to the lake and the town. The patio and porches are lovely, and I imagine that they're enjoyable in the summer. I do wish that we had known about the high iron content in the water before we arrived. A Brita filtered pitcher was provided; we used that but also bought some bottled water. I advise bringing plenty of it when you stay at Lakeshore. I think the steepness of the steps to the third floor might make it difficult for some people to gain access to it. The location was perfect- a short walk to the center of the village, easy access for launching boats, and a very quiet neighborhood. Eagles Mere is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the north central part of PA! The residents and shop owners are very friendly and eager to answer questions about the town. The property is by the outlet stream, with its joyous rushing sounds. The ground are very nice, with grill and picnic tables, along with public benches in easy walking at the pond. The house was nicely furnished, with a much better equipped kitchen than most rentals, and touches inside that made it homey. The dog bowls, and dog-chew shaped rug they sat upon, made our pet clearly welcomed, not simply tolerated. Karen herself was friendly and helpful. The interior was very clean and VERY well stocked for our group. Our whole group would recommend the property again. Note it is located in the upper portion of a house so stairs/steps are required for guests. Our group hiked at Ricketts Glen and it was an easy drive from the Eagles Mere property. ##### Gretchen M. My family had the best time at this house in Eagles Mere. The house was clean and well furnished. We really enjoyed using the family canoe in the pond across the street. The hiking trails being across the street as well, so there was lots to do. The kids enjoyed being able to walk down to the stores for books and a milkshake. We loved it. More than adequate for 7 adults + 5 children (to 6 yrs). Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed and more. Enjoyed relaxing on patio and mountain pies at the fire pit. Owners (Kevin and Karen) were close by, available and accomodating. This is a great location to be outdoors. Enjoyed wildlife and bird watching (Bald Eagle routinely at the lake) on local trails and beach (walking distance). We also hiked at Worlds End and Ricketts Glen State Parks. Kids really like visit to an Alpaca farm. I am looking for an opportunity for another visit. ##### Denis S.
