The decking and patio furniture hadn’t been touched—covered in cobwebs and dead bugs that a broom or leaf blower could have cleared in minutes. The front porch clearly hadn’t been swept in a very long time, which set the tone for the rest of the stay.There are a few positives: the family room couch and entertainment setup are nice, and the large kitchen table is great for gathering. Unfortunately, almost everything else feels like it was done as cheaply and quickly as possible. The half bath by the kitchen is a prime example—sloppy trim work, paint splatters on the floor, and even an unfinished section of wall behind the toilet. It looks like it was thrown together without any real care or skill.The basement is dark and unwelcoming, with a terrible shower. Water pressure throughout the house is weak, making both showers a disappointment.Outside, the property is even more concerning. The stairs to the dock are only half-repaired and have a railing on one side only—unsafe for kids or anyone with balance issues. The dock itself is in poor shape, with loose screw heads sticking up, making it painful and hazardous to walk on. The swimming area is unmaintained and uninviting, when just a little effort could have made it usable.Overall, this house screams “fast flip” rather than a cared-for vacation home. Just a few hiccups made the sleeping more miserable. The toilets were running full time so the basement bedroom was horrible to sleep in from the noise. Other than that, the cleaner left their supplies at the house, so we just moved those out of the way. The basement door outside was broken and the dock was a bit broken. Séjour de 4 nuits en août 2025 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Derek T. 7 oct. 2024 #### Great Potential but Oversold Beautiful location, quiet, tons of wildlife. Was very excited until we dug deeper. For 2/3rds of the time we stayed here, we had no TV or Internet-which is unfortunate because we were at the location for work. Concerning safety, light was burned out in the lower bathroom shower, an air vent was falling out of the celling in the basement, first floor smoke detector in the celling didn't work (later learned that an additional detector was sitting on the fireplace), many of the doors on the back side of the building didn't lock (wooden poles were used to stop the opening of the door sort of-the poles not being long enough to stop thin people from entering. Fireplace on main level didn't work, but was fixed on day 2 of our 3 day stay. Master bathroom toilet never stopped running. Exterior door was almost impossible to open and close to the deck. Screen door fell off track on the first use. Don't even think about going into the garage-open windows that let in bugs and other rodents and dirty condition would truly scare you. Many areas had missing trim pieces around the floor areas. It was hilarious to see a cut piece for a wooden cutting board used to partially fill in a floor gap. Not making this up!! I have pictures that I sent to the management during our stay. They made an effort to fix things with minimal success. The bottom line, if you are not concerned with safety, cleanliness, attention to details, or a connection to the real world, here is the place for you ##### Derek T.
