It had large bedrooms, a great kitchen and dining (we had 10 people). The bathrooms were nice too. The lake views were amazing. The water frontage was really nice. It was sandy and shallow (like 6" off shore) and then steadily dropped to about 4 feet. We fished off the dock and caught some fish. We loved the firepit by the shore. Spent many hours there at night.The house was well lit and had plenty of windows. It was a great location. We used to have a family property about 4 miles down the road, so we were very familiar with the area. And really like Catfish Lake, so it was a perfect spot for us to rent. It was very quiet. The other great thing is that there is very little boat traffic by the house, so it was very peaceful. Camp Ojibwa is just down the shore, so in the summer times when all the kids are in camp, it may be a little less peaceful there than when we stayed the last week in August. The only complaints (and they are minor). The beds were not the greatest in the master suite and the main bedroom off the living room). For a place of this quality the beds could be better. Also the couches in the first floor living room left a lot to be desired. The management company was very responsive. We had a few questions prior to and during our stay and they responded quickly. The backyard was full of goose poop, we cleaned it up or we wouldn’t have been able to walk down to the water. Management should have sent someone to clean it up. Several light bulbs needed to be replaced. No firewood as promised. No kayak which management said was there in an email exchange with them. House could have been cleaner. Séjour de 7 nuits en juin 2025 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Bill C. 30 juin 2025 Points forts : Propreté #### Great house and location The house was great- well stocked with cooking supplies, clean, and plenty of space for a group or to get away from the group. Plenty of cold storage space for food. House temperature is a little inconsistent just based on configuration and HVAC setup but didn't matter for our week. Bed mattresses were the one interior miss and could be upgraded for the price paid. Plenty of parking and room outdoors. TONS of goose poop on the otherwise fantastic lawn and water access. Would recommend manager to leave a rake just so it'd be clean after a few minutes of raking. Smaller sandy beach area for the kids and pretty clean shallow area which was good for swimming. Great deck, outdoor seating, and house was just re-sealed so it is well maintained. Séjour de 4 nuits en juin 2025 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Karin Z. 14 juin 2025 Points faibles : Propreté #### Can’t Fish Lake This property is large enough to accommodate a large group of 13\. The property was NOT well maintained. The grass was not cut, fire pit was over 3/4 filled, goose poop land mines everywhere. The first night, the shower door fell off, the ice machine didn’t work, the fireplaces didn’t work. The remotes for all equipment didn’t have batteries. We had to buy batteries. Dan, the maintenance manager was quick, professional, and did fix these things. Day two, we go to make dinner and there is no propane for the grill. I had to drive and exchange the tank. Then we go to use the grill and all of burner slots were blocked. Only the front part of the grill worked. Maintenance was called again and Chris came out and could not believe the condition of the grill. He did clean it up and tried to restore the burners but said it was in bad condition. Day three, the dishwasher stopped working and the kitchen sink was backed up. Maintenance was called, and Dan promptly came. During that time, the basement bathroom fan started making a terrible sound. Dan determined it needed to be replaced. Dan also cleaned out the dryer from a large amount of lint which was a fire hazard. He also found the rollers on the track on the screened door were shot in the kitchen. He was able to fix it so we could use it during our stay. There was a row boat but it had a hole which took on water and the paddles were cracked and dry rotted.
