Bring your clothes and toothbrush, we have the rest. Provided is a full kitchen, bath towels, bed linens, and charcoal grill. You will be 17 feet to the shore. Launch canoes, kayaks or swim off the flat shore. Sit at the fire pit with the view of the lake while the kids play on the beach. A private dock is provide, with an electric outlet. We ask that you maintain our property as you would your own, if not better. We are sharing this property with you as its an amazing place on the Eagle River Chain. We also understand accidents happen, just inform us & we can determine a plan to fix and discuss any charges. No smoking or vaping in the cabins or decks. Traveler/Guest shall safely extinguish and dispose of all cigarette butts. No fish frying in the house. Only use appliances as they are intended to be used. Damages: Traveler/Guest is required to report any property damages to the homeowner prior to checkout. Traveler/Guest is liable to pay for any damages caused by him or her whether they are accidental, due to negligence, and/or intentional. The homeowner may request payment of damages if they are in excess to the security deposit. If a traveler/guest refuses to pay for damages not covered by the security deposit, the homeowner may take legal action against the traveler/guest to obtain the excess cost of the damages. The traveler/guest will be required to pay all attorney fees. Theft: Traveler/Guest should ensure he or she is not taking anything from the premises that belong to the homeowner; including but not limited to towels, cooking utensils, electronics, furniture, appliances, and other items available for traveler/guest to use. The cost of stolen items will be deducted from the security deposit and the homeowner may contact the police authorities to report theft. Travelers/Guests agree to treat the home with care and respect. Please keep the property and all furnishings in good order. It would be greatly appreciated if travelers/guests took their shoes off at the entryway of the home. Traveler/Guest agrees to clean up after himself or herself and not leave trash around the property or laying around inside the home. An indoor garbage can is located in the kitchen, waste baskets are located in all bathrooms, and the main dumpster is behind Whispering Pines. People other than those in the Traveler/Guest party set forth in the reservation agreement may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. This house is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the traveler/guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. Travelers/Guests are NOT allowed to hunt, harass, or harm the wildlife on the property in any way. Wildlife includes but is not limited to deer, squirrels, chipmunks, and birds. Travelers/Guests are Not allowed to cut, remove, or alter the vegetation growing on the property including trees, shrubs, and ferns. Outdoor Fire pit: Travelers/Guests may only build a fire in the fire pit and no where else on the property. The fire must be attended while lit. The fire must be put out with water if the traveler/guest leaves the property or before the traveler/guest goes to sleep at night. Fireworks are not allowed to be set off on the premises. Parking: Travelers/Guests may park on the driveway. Parking is not allowed on the grass. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the property. Indoor Fireplaces: There is an electric fireplace in the living room. Please turn off when not inside, at night and when leaving from your stay. Water and Septic: The property is on a well and septic systems. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that products other than toilet paper have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged for damages or repair. No refunds will be given for storms or inclement weather including rain or snow. The cabin was very nice, clean and had everything needed. The lake frontage was awesome as well. The cabin is on the the perfect spot of the chain of lakes we wanted to stay. It was nice to have a restaurant close by and Pirates hideaway near by which was really neat. It was part of a cluster with 4 or 5 other cabins, so not quite remote., but neighbors were fine. And the owners supplied darn near everything. Seriously. Next year we wont need to pack as much, which is always a bonus. The Lake is stunning. Not to mention the surrounding lakes as well. Having coffee on the deck merely feet away from the lake was amazing. Lots for the family and kiddos to do around town and the lake. Great food near by. If you like Prime Rib, definitely try The Kickback Grill on Saturdays. The Pirates Hideaway is super fun for the kids too and they do Pizza and ice cream. Hosts are fantastic! Very communicative. Our group needed a place to stay for the snocross races at the derby track nearby so this was an easy choice as it is just a short drive of about a mile. The bar nearest to us (kickback grill) was closed but just a short walk furth was another place (sweetwater resort) and they had great drinks and food! The property is quite accomdating as well and the 2 bathrooms are a big plus. It's much larger on the inside than in looks from the outside! Lastly, Jodi was GREAT. Right down the road from a bar/grill and Pirate ship for the kids. It's a busy lake with all kinds of recreational watercraft so theres always something to look at out the great view overlooking the lake. There was a live band in the evening down the shore at the tiki bar over Labor Day weekend which brought a party atmosphere to the entire lake. The deck was very enjoyable in the morning with coffee and in the evening with dinner. The Wifi was unexpectedly very good, which was great for our son who is taking summer college courses online. We rented a pontoon and spent every day on the water either fishing or swimming (it was very hot during our week). Duck Lake has some great crappie fishing! The extra 1/2 bath is certainly a plus. The owners were nearby and offered suggestions on things to do in the area. We were within walking distance to a Pub & Grill, and a convenience store. My husband and I brought our 12 year old, 5 year old and our dog. The first night we arrived we dined at the kickback grill. It was delicious and is about a 2 minute walk away. There is a pirate themed ice cream place about 7 docks down that looks like fun. They were closed for renovations but are opening again in a few weeks. We stopped at Eagle Wings Sportswear and picked out some designs for tshirts and sweatshirts. I would also love to visit Three Lakes Winery sometime. Everyone has a blast. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed exploring the chain of lakes. While kayaking in the early morning we were able to see loons and mallards. We also spotted a bald eagle and 3 baby eagles. Our 5 year old enjoyed the shared beach area. He played for several hours a day during our entire stay. Our days were filled with swimming, kayaking and building in the sand. We also enjoyed smores around the campfire. This property works well with young children. There is a shallow wading area and the water gradually gets deeper. This is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax. It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with tools and some appliances (coffee pot, crock pot, pizza cutter, etc). The WIFI worked well and my husband greatly appreciated it as he is working on his Masters and had a paper due during our stay. We tried to unplug and get away from it all but we did also pack our Roku and at night we were easily able to stream Disney Plus and Netflix to watch family movies. Thank you for sharing this home. But the parking and trailer situation for snowmobiling was horrible. Neighbors were right out there doors, telling you not to stop there to unload. The situation needs to be resolved. If you dont wanna cook the kickback grill has a awesome fish fry. Nice clean place to stay. Beds super comfortable.
