Tucked away on a working farm just outside the charming village of Lanchester, this spacious four-bedroom farmhouse offers the perfect countryside escape for families or groups. Sleeping up to ten guests and welcoming two dogs, the property is ideal for reconnecting with nature without sacrificing comfort.  
  
Step into the open-plan kitchen/dining room, fully equipped with all the essentials for family feasts. Patio doors lead to an enclosed, lawned garden with outdoor seating, a great spot for morning coffee or alfresco evenings. Unwind in the main living room with its open fire and TV, or settle into the second living room, complete with a cosy wood burner and another TV. Upstairs, the farmhouse features a flexible layout, one bedroom has a double and single bed, another has a double with ensuite, a third double has its own en suite and TV, and the final bedroom offers a double, single, and en-suite – ideal for multi-generational stays or larger groups. Once you’re settled in, you’ll find plenty to explore nearby.  
  
The historic village of Lanchester is less than two miles away, with a variety of pubs and eateries, perfect for a hearty meal or local pint after a day’s adventure. Just a short drive takes you to the city of Durham, famous for its majestic cathedral and riverside walks. Beamish Museum, a world-class open-air attraction bringing local history to life, is within 15 minutes’ reach and a must-visit for all ages.  
  
Nature lovers can enjoy scenic walks and cycling trails through the surrounding countryside or head to Derwent Reservoir for waterside strolls, birdwatching, and picnics. Hamsterley Forest offers miles of hiking and mountain biking trails for more active visitors, while families will enjoy Hall Hill Farm just a few minutes down the road, a working farm with animals, tractor rides, and activities for younger guests. Beamish Open Air Museum is approximately 20 minute drive away. Diggerland is approximately 2 miles away in Langley Park.
