Our 1,700 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath Crimson Cliff townhome (Unit 55) is situated near the Animas River just 4 miles north of downtown Durango and 25 miles from Durango Mountain Resort (25 minutes). This home offers an ideal location with incomparable views of the Animas River Valley, and immediate access to the resort area without having to drive through town to get to trails, national forest land and the ski area. The Durango Trolley stops right in front of the home every 20 minutes making it convenient to get downtown without having to drive or park. The main living space features a gas fireplace as well as a 50" 4K flat screen TV and Blue Ray DVD Player. Each bedroom features a deck as well as AC (May - Oct). The Crimson Cliff complex includes a private park with sand volleyball court, playground equipment, nine-hole mini-golf, small pond, fire pit and a gravel walking track around the large lawn. We had problems with power going off if two air conditioners were running at the same time. Also, the street noise was very loud since we had to keep windows open due to the type of air conditioners installed in the windows.The description of the unit was not specific regarding the amount of stairs, so that was very difficult for two of us with health issues. The cameras were pointing straight into the unit that we were in, lights and all. They were not there the first night, but with the power cord attached and strung out across the balcony propped up on a chair. It was really weird and irritating to be honest. My husband wanted to go knock on his door but I was able to talk him down. Not good for business if you ask me other than that we loved the city of Durango and the townhouse was comfortable. I grew up in the area as well as my children in their younger years, so the opportunity to return to see my son graduate from FLC was a heartfelt and sentimental experience. I purposefully looked for a place to stay that would fit all six of us comfortably as well as be close to town, and this property fit the bill perfectly! It was a quiet, peaceful area, close enough to make quick runs to the grocery store or go out to restaurants in the area, and of course a hop, skip, and a jump to the college. The bedrooms were comfortable, the living space roomy, and the kitchen had everything we needed for fixing meals. I highly recommend this property if you don't want to be too far from town, yet still be able to experience a quiet escape. ##### Melissa M.
