This is the finest ski-in/ski-out location at the resort and includes a ski locker close to the slopes. Purgatory Lodge contains Durango Mountain Resort's premium amenities including outdoor heated pool with slide, hot tub, workout facility, and family game room adjacent to a private restaurant and bar. The single level condo is located on the 4th floor (elevator access) and offers amazing views of the Needles Mountain Range and the ski resort. The condo was professionally decorated and each bedroom contains a flat screen TV as well as high end furnishings and linens. Bed Configuration: Master - King and TV 2nd - King and TV Main Living Space - Queen Blow up mattress w/pump The home is pet friendly (2 pet max) and the pet fee is $40/day (Max $250). Book 7+ nights and a 10% discount is automatically applied. Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities. The Lodge's upper floor, which includes the private bar and game room, is closed during the off-season when the ski resort isn't open (fall and April and May) Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. We had stayed here many years ago, and recall liking the parking, location and amenities. There was a lot of snow the days we stayed, so was nice to park in covered garage. The location can't be beat, walk out to lifts. Room had all needed amenities. It looked like the window blinds were in process of being replaced, but that did not impact our stay. Beds comfortable. Spacious bathrooms. Ski lockers are outside, so that is kind of a bummer. We enjoyed the lounge area and hot tub. Management company was great, quick in responding to inquiries - was able to add a day to our stay with no hassle. They sent several txt messages to check all ok. Easy check in at front desk. The master bedroom was very nice, and the beds in both bedrooms were very nice. The second bedroom's closet had only 1 regular sized clothes hanger and 2 very small hangers for toddler size clothing. The owner has a security locked cabinet in that closet that takes up half of the available space and the other side has a shelf with multiple blankets stacked on top of it. We couldn't hang up any of our clothes in there, so we had to fold them and put into drawers of a dresser and the heavy jackets and ski clothes we just had to fold and stack on the floor. At very least there should be ample hangers in that closet. One of the window blinds is not working either. Given the price on the rental, those issues should be addressed. ##### Mike S. Entry door handle needs to be repaired , only opens if you pull up on the handle. Can opener in kitchen needs replacing, couldn't open any cans with it. Beds soft but too soft for us. Didn't care for the sheets, flannel type material and way too loose on the bed. Bathrooms were large. Full size washer and dryer was nice. Views were great. Check in person at the desk was not very friendly. Property management company very attentive and helpful with our parking request. Parking spots in garage tight for oversized vehicles. The location is excellent and the condo/property has lots of amenities. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed! We cooked every meal and enjoyed our time with the family.
