Purgatory skiing minutes away. Wow what a value, a 5 bedroom home with a wood burning Fireplace and Hot Tub! It is a great place to relax after a long day of skiing, hiking or mountain biking. For a $100 fee bring your beloved dog. Pack&Play and high-chair available for younger children.

Perfect for a multi-family with 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. Also great for a long week of skiing or hiking with plenty of room to spread out. The attached garage, mud room and hooks for storage throughout the house make it easy to stay organized for all of your activities. Try out the snow shoes that are available for your use! Ample parking out front for three vehicles in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood just off 550, a mile and change from the entrance to Purgatory Ski resort. Only 30 minutes to downtown Durango and 20 minutes to Silverton. Lovely home, serene and super-convenient to hiking and many outdoor activities, lots of space, and comfy. This charming mountain cabin is surrounded by alluring Colorado beauty and offers a peaceful escape. You may see deer, elk, and other wildlife right out your window.

The home has a fully equipped kitchen, wifi, wood burning fireplace, and satellite 55 inch Roku TV with a DVD and VCR player.

Nature lovers, sportsmen, adventure lovers, artists, and folks looking for a quiet spot to just sit and relax will love this cozy cabin. So grab your gear, hiking boots and camera, and prepare to enjoy the loveliness of Durango. However you will need four wheel drive in the winter months. There is a lake for its scenic views however it is a private lake and there is no fishing or boating allowed.

The home is Eco Friendly in that we have Solar Panels and there is a 220V outlet in the garage for EV vehicles, however you must have your own charging cord is required.

Third annual road trip for two families with kids

Great house, location, and property manager. There’s lots to do and see outdoors in this area. The immediate community (Lake of the Pines) is very scenic and we were fine not venturing out one of the days of our stay. I highly recommend walking or biking to the neighborhood lake.

Great cabin with great location

The Pinecone Cabin was an optimal place for our ski team to stay in. Really close to Purgatory Ski Resort, but tucked away in a great location. The house was very clean and had plenty of room to stretch out. We will definitely look to stay here again if we ever come back!

Beautiful Setting

We were there for a skiing vacation. The home was a good fit for our family of 9. It was in a beautiful, peaceful setting surrounded by snow. One of my favorites was the long walk we took on the maintained snow covered road that went from the house to a private snow covered lake nearby. Our 7 year old granddaughter had a private ski lesson with a great instructor and was skiing well after one hour into the 4 hour lesson.

Incredible Home/Stay

We had an incredible stay. The house has plenty of room and was so warm and cozy. There was a record amount of snow when we stayed. We really enjoyed our “snow in” day watching DVD’s and playing games that were all provided. Owner communication was stellar. We will be back, for sure.

Large cabin with plenty of space to spread out. The home was clean and had a well equipped kitchen, with all items clearly marked & easy to locate. Hot tub was great and extremely clean!! Would recommend for large family get togethers. House is an older A-frame but well maintained. Highly recommend the Nugget Mountain Bar (beer, food and atmosphere), as well as Olde Schoolhouse Cafe (pizza and drink) for nearby dining options.

Mountain Oasis

The house was great. It was well stocked and had items you would not even expect in a rental so our stay was very comfortable. It is large and comfortable. The the best part was it is in a beautiful area. A little bit out of Durango but that was only a plus. We could pop into town or enjoy our peace and quiet. Our pups each had their own front window to enjoy! Kevin was very easy to work with and very helpful. We would absolutely return. Thanks Kevin!

Cool place very close to Purgatory

Great check in experience and nice property. Enough seclusion, but close to Purgatory and other mountain activities we were after (hiking, fishing, and mountain biking). Plenty of room in the house to spread out, and very comfortable and homey. Would stay again.
