"My husband and I visited with the purpose of hiking the area and having a peaceful week. This home was wonderfully cozy and had everything we needed for cooking in, playing games (and music!), and spending time together. Dunsmuir itself seems to have had a rough recent past, but has a nice grocery store and enough restaurants to feed anyone not wanting to cook at home. We walked around a little bit and felt safe, despite some of run-downness of the old town. We spent our three full days at different beautiful and epic hikes in the area and this was the perfect place to stay for Siskayou Lake, McCloud River Falls, Mossbrae Falls, and Castle Crags State Park hiking. We spent a lot of time in the home and it was very comfortable and we would stay here again!"
