"Although I was initially skeptical of having no onsite management, the check-in via text was flawless. Location is a quick 10 minute walk to historic downtown Dunsmuir where restaurants and a brewpub offer options to recharge after a day of driving and hiking. "

"Overall, great place to stay. We came with family and hung out by the fire pit and played Jenga by the BBQ. rooms were spacious and clean. There is no front desk, which is fine, and they have a 800 number to call with questions and someone always answers. We weren't really accustomed to this and needed towels, but no none was at the hotel. we managed, so not that big of a deal. we will def stay here again next Shasta visit. "

"This totally renovated hotel is a revived classic with modern improvents. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room invited light from the outside to make it shine. Sitting area, polished chrome fittings, comfortable chair and reading areas, one by a window. Outstanding room. Staff was mostly absent and electronic lock was glichty, otherwise a restful stay."
