Great location with important details missing
Initially the owner was very engaged, allowed us in slightly early. Very clean upon first impression. Said it was on the main (first floor) which we assumed meant little to no steps - apparently in Scotland this means the second floor - had to lug heavy luggage up a big set of steps. Wish this would have been disclosed in the description. Apartment life gets busy very early in the morning - neighbors are loud - doors banging. No fans to drown out the noise. My biggest complaint is two out of three days we had no hot water. The water situation should be disclosed in the description - you get 2 "medium" showers and then it takes 3 hours to reheat. First day after our cold showers the owner found the heater had "tripped". It worked the next day and then last day no hot water again. Emailed the owner after leaving as we needed to travel to next destination and have not heard a word back from her which is disappointing. Beds have no box springs and are very squeaky - every move wakes you up. Overall, great location - close to train station, grocery stores and a couple of decent restaurants. I just wish the owner would be honest surrounding the hot water situation. Next VRBO was in the country and had on demand hot water and you could count on hot water anytime and for however long you need so I don't necessarily think the situation here is a Scotland thing.

Excellent base to explore Edinburgh and surrounding area
The property was really clean and tidy, comfortable and well stocked. It was lovely to go somewhere where all the small details had been thought through. So many times we have been away and things like bottle openers or a grater are missing. Was super chuffed that necessities had been provided as coming straight after Xmas we were going to forget something.....which we did and there it was some shampoo and conditioner and a hair dryer. Thoughtful welcome hamper with some lovely goodies. Would highly recommend. The one thing we would change is the door on second bedroom. The frosted glass is fine for a family of small children but we were away with my 23 year old son and if he had brought his girlfriend it wouldn't have been okay.

Great Stay by the Bay
We would have loved to stay longer, but still really enjoyed our one night. The spot gave us easy access to both Edinburgh and Dunfermline and it was great to spend some time birdwatching down at the water’s edge with Oystercatchers, Eiders and a Curlew! The welcome basket was greatly appreciated!

Good communication from the owner at all times. Nice welcome package when we arrived. Only issue is that the sliding bedroom door should be changed for more privacy. Still enjoyed the stay.

Amazing apartment
We absolutely loved the location of the apartment. Perfect location for getting in and out of Edinburgh which we did on the train and drove. We also had a local day and the views are just fantastic. The apartment itself is lovely and modern and very clean. Julie was so easy to talk too and helped us with a few requests. Can not recommend this apartment enough. You will not be disappointed. Fabulous stay! The location is perfect and close to the train to go into Edinburgh. The property was beautiful, quiet, and the welcome basket was perfect. Lovely property. Clean, well laid out. And no fuss parking. Julie was very helpful when she handed over our keys etc. Property in excellent location. Close to train station, park and ride and all other amenities. We all couldn’t have been happier and will definitely return next year.

An absolutely gorgeous location, apartment was fabulous, Julie was so helpful and friendly.
So glad we chose this property to rent for a mid week break. Can not fault the property or owner, both fantastic. Booking was easy and was kept up to date throughout the whole process. Will definitely be booking again.

Snug little hideaway
Very cosy accommodation with everything you need. Julie is so helpful and her welcome pack was 5*! Thank you for introducing us to a lovely new organic coffee, which we enjoyed every day. The apartment is ideally located for days out in any direction and perfect for visiting our family in Largo.

Sehr schöne Wohnung!
Eine schöne und saubere Wohnung in der Nähe von Edinburgh. Von hier aus kann man gut nach Edinburgh und Glasgow reisen. Auch erreicht man viele weitere Ausflugsziele von hier gut. Der Kontakt mit Julie und Julian war sehr nett. Vom Ablauf hat alles gut geklappt. Vielen Dank für alles!

Trevligt boende i lugn och vacker miljö
Jättetrevligt boende i fräsch lägenhet! Julie var en mycket trevlig och serviceinriktad hyresvärd. Lägenheten var välstädad och låg i ett lugnt och vackert område nära Edinburgh. Mataffär och pub/restaurang i närheten, men vill man bo nära pubar och uteliv passar inte området. Vi trivdes jättebra, använde lägenheten mest för övernattning men tog promenader vid bukten och besökte någon pub. Vi rekommenderar varmt denna lägenhet pga läget, standarden, hyresvärden Julie och priset!

I took my girlfriend away for her birthday having never been to Scotland. She was bowled over by the property and peaceful surroundings we had a great trip. Such a friendly place. I cant thank Julie enough for her help and efforts to ensure we were satisfied. Would highly recommend!

Das Appartement ist verkehrsgünstig gelegen, man kommt sowohl mit dem Zug als auch mit dem Auto einfach nach Edinburgh und zusätzlich ist es eine gute Basis für Ausflüge an der Ostküste. Das Appartement ist modern eingerichtet und sauber. Es gab ein Willkommenspaket mit Snacks und hilfreiche Tipps für die Umgebung.

Wonderful apartment, nice and helpful landlords
We really enjoyed the stay in Dalgety Bay and we want to thank Julie and Julian for giving us the opportunity to stay in their lovely apartment. We stayed for four nights and had two wonderful days in Edinburgh. We recommend to go by train to Edinburgh (only 30 minutes to Waverley and only 14 GBP for two adults and two children for the return off peak ticket). As the apartment is directly located at the sea, we also enjoyed the wonderful view and to go for a walk. Julie and Julian are very nice and helpful landlords and we can really recommend to stay in their apartment.

Julie was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was spotless and in a great location. We saw loads in our long weekend. Being Outlander fans Julie told us of Culross where some filming was done. Super schöne, modern eingerichtete Wohnung ruhig und schön gelegen.
Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und verfügt über alles, was man so braucht. Sie liegt in einer ruhigen Wohngegend direkt an der Harbour Bay, von wo aus man einen tollen Blick auf die malerische Forth Bridge zum einen und auf die Silhouette von Edinburgh zum anderen hat. July und Julian sind sehr nette Gastgeber, die uns schon im Vorfeld alle Fragen beantwortet und uns immer wieder mit Tipps und Anregungen zur Seite gestanden haben. Wir haben uns von Anfang an in der Wohnung super wohl gefühlt, was nicht nur an der Begrüßungsflasche Wein gelegen hat. Obwohl auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Firth of Forth gelegen, ist Edinburgh mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln einfach gu erreichen.

Fantastic location and great service from Julie and Julian
Lovely apartment with all the household items we needed for our stay. Fantastic location with great view of three bridges. Great base for visiting Edinburgh, Loch Lomond and Stirling castle. Fife coastal walk can be joined just few metres from the apartment. Would recommend to friends and family and will definitely return for our next trip to Scotland.
