Comfortable accommodation, basic amenities and on a Main Street so convenient for taxi/Uber and 5 minute walk to intercity bus near campus. Several good restaurants. Buddha Stix restaurant for dinner and the Good Earth cafe for breakfast or lunch. Campus closed for the summer so not every restaurant open but enough for our two night stay. Managers kind and friendly and certainly working hard to make the motel a success.

Great stay for iur family, grandparent, parents and two kids, in the 2 bedroom apartment. A very spacious unit. Good location for university events. Room was quiet. Our flight into Dunedin was delayed and reception staff waited up for us til 10pm. We will stay again.

Nice, quiet and clean property. Was awkward getting in and out of shower and exhaust fan struggled to keep up with steam, smoke alarm went off because of this.

Although a no party policy a large loud group of 20 yr olds kept other guests up until almost 4am. Rooms were ok, but dirty skirting boards, carpets needed to be cleaned and dirty marks on the walls. There is no room servicing unless you request it, you need to get your own clean towels toilet paper and empty your own rubbish. It was slightly cheaper than other options but this was reflective in the service and standard of the motel. The reception staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful, but it is a motel being run on a tight budget.

This place felt like a student flat than a motel to stay. When we arrived the whole place was damp, cold and musty smelling. Bathroom was very dingy and you could see the mildew and mould on the roof. It did not feel clean at all and we got this vibe as we walked up the step. Gave both me and my child asthma attacks and everyone as come down with colds this following week.

Had a slight issue at check in that our booking got.cancelled and we had not been notified by Expedia but yet it was already paid for. However,they were able to assist and got us a room in no time. Highly recommended room was spacious and felt like home, having Netflix and YouTube was a bonus also the Kitchenette was very handy. Would stay there again.

Lovely lady in reception gave us a warm welcome and a told us about somethings happening in the area. Walked us to our room and made sure everything was okay before leaving us to settle in. Good location. Close to the nightlife and town but far enough away that you don’t hear all the street parties or have drunken teens walking past and yelling all the time. Beds were comfy and we all slept well both nights. Would come back and stay again

The property we stayed in was completely riddled with mould and mildew smells. Even after running the heat pump it didn’t get rid of the putrid smell. We were almost not able to sleep in the main bedroom as the smell permeated right through. All of our clothes and belongings now also smell like damp mould. Owner didn’t speak to us at all during our stay and they mentioned there was a smell which was under the doorway of the property. But it certainly wasn’t only down there it was throughout the two bedroom unit. It’s a health hazard and we got totally ripped off. I stayed polite for the sake of my two small kids because I didn’t want to ruin their stay and they were already settled in after I realised the smell wasn’t going away after couple of hours. Water pressure for the bath tub was really low. I didn’t enjoy this stay at all. I’ve never stayed anywhere that treated us like we were dogs in a smelly kennel. Nobody should stay here ever especially with kids.

However, we did have two staff on site throughout your stay and we would certainly have moved you if you had expressed any concerns and expressed that wish???. Respectively your language is excessive and does not reflect our normal conduct or specifically our conduct towards you if you had taken the opportunity to highlight your concerns. We appreciate these are very tough times but fair commentary is welcomed and respectful.

Quiet motel
Nice and quiet motel. Helps that it's close to the end of the "motels" stretch in that area. Love the privacy and close parking lots available for rooms 9 (from a previous stay) and 9A (this stay).

Comfortable bed, good shower but the fixed height shower head was way too low, good towels. The hotel’s room descriptions on Expedia imply (under “Practical”) that there is a safe in the room - there is not.

The room was huge and the bed comfy. Only problem was the owner's son turned off the dryer and locked the laundry with my wet clothes inside dryer. Took my screaming to get the owner to open the laundry and let the dryer run so I could finish my laundry. Left a bad taste in my mouth because we had been staying there 3 days before this happened and the kid knew I was doing laundry.

Friendly and comfortable.
From the time we booked in with the very friendly manager our stay was most enjoyable. The room was large and comfortable. There are seberal eateries close by (we particularly liked the Buddha Stix.)
