The motel is a good value for the amount we paid. The rooms were clean, and warm and the motel was located where we needed to be. It was a last minute booking due to an impending storm. The fellow who checked us in was very efficient and caring. Very basic lodging but there when we needed it.

I’m only rating staff, service & area around the property as 3 because this is not a 5 star stop. There are really no amenities and the staff are not on-site available 24/7. The staff were excellent at what they did when they were on-site. This is a motel along the highway that really just looks like an old motel along the highway. However, the room we stayed in was as modern as any 4 star I’ve stayed in. So you definitely can’t judge a book by its cover in this case.

Felt like home. Very nice kitchenette and nice to be able to open the windows and door for fresh air. Quiet property and the restaurant next door was very handy.

I notified them I would be a late night check in, sent in a signed form, ID, and Mastercard photocopy. Was told to call when I got off the Victoria ferry. Called and no answer, went to voice mail. Called again when I arrived at the motel, no answer, left a message, Had the choice of sleeping in my car or find another accommodation for the night. When I checked in I found I had been billed for the night I had no access to the room, so I paid two places for the same night. Check in was only from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Check out was "use the mail slot" to drop off the keys. The find dining restaurant they advertised was up the street and not part of the motel.

Hi Russel, unfortunately we weren't notified of a late check in and did mention this to you, when a guest shows up after hours without first setting it up with office staff we are unable to accommodate. The restaurant located next door is a seperate business with seperate owners. We understand your frustration with being charged for not showing up for your scheduled booking however this is our policy when a guest fails to show up for there booking.

Clean room at a fair price. Quiet for being so convenient to the highway. Basic amenities include wifi and locally roasted coffee for the in-room electric drip machine. One tesla charging station available, but no J1772s. Saw some of the dodgy reviews and decided to take a chance, will stay here again when needing a stop “on the way”.

The picture showing is not what the rooms looked like. There was no hot water on the entire property when we stayed there. The room was dirty and without air conditioning. We opened the window, only to be right by the dumpster. On top of that we paid the price of chain hotels in the area with no apology or concern by the owner for any of these issues. I had to fight and threaten to get a refund for the next night as we decided to not stay another night. DO NOT STAY HERE!

No lighting, no internet, stinky, no hot water.
Internet was nonexistent. Phone would latch on at least me bar, for a few seconds, and drop. Wife had to work remotely and couldn’t. She ended up staying up all night trying to work and kept me and my son up. We were exhausted and miserable. I spent 1.5 hours trying to ask to cancel on hotels.com, but they kept dropping the call and asking me the problem over and over. Finally told me they couldn’t cancel. Then asked the hotel manager to cancel the second day and they refused. So we put up with two nights like that. On top of the internet problem, the room photos had two rooms with a door inbetween. This one didn’t. Also, it smelt like it wasn’t used for a month. And the room was VERY dark. I actually had to use my phone flashlight, hanging in the imupper cabinets in order to be able to cook food. Unreal. Also, the hot and cold taps were reversed, since 1965, and somehow the owner didn’t bother to fix that mistake for 57 years. So pathetic.

Overall the manager was helpful. Priced right in the context of what’s available. I have no problem with staying again. Kitchenette would come in handy for a longer stay. Restaurant next door served good fair.

For the price, overall, it is a nice motel. However, the owner is trying to rent things himself, and when I ordered new towels for the second day, because the shower was leaking, he said that he would bring them up, and never did. Disappointing that we couldn’t have the towels for a second day.

We had booked for 3 adults and there was only 2 sets of towels and coffee cups etc. It would have been nice if there had been allowances made for the 3rd person. Other than that....good job! Very clean and friendly staff.

I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy. The first night my wife dropped something under the bed and I moved it and found a old package of cheese. the only light in the main room was the ceiling light .3 of the sockets in the same room were connected to the same light switch. the taps in the tub wouldn't shut off and they had been like that for quite awhile because it left a stain in the tub. also when i went down to office to complain about finding the cheese i had asked the manager when the room was cleaned and he had said that very morning and all he could say is sorry. the rugs were stained in the main room and uneven in the bedroom and there was no bed side table in the main room or lamp in the main room. the fridge had a build up of ice over an inch thick. According to your website there was supposed to be an air conditioner and there wasn't one.

The staff is very friendly and helpful!!! The room was great. Very clean and lots of room. Although the place is older they have done lots to modernized it. Nice kitchenette that came in handy. Good location. Restaurant close by, gas station with convenience store close by, and easy access to the highway. Even though we were close to the highway you could not hear it. Would definitely stay here again.
