It was a peaceful and restful stay at the beautiful Emandare vineyard. Lots of great local attractions, a perfect stop between Nanaimo and Victoria. Only downside was that there was no dishwasher so need to hand wash the dishes if you plan to cook there. Hosts were easy to communicate with and helpful. The wine shop is only open on Saturday but with advance planning you could reach out to the host regarding private tastings. Sad that we missed out on that. I’m sure we would have bought every bottle! We sat out on the patio watching the birds however in the sky, sipping rose, and utterly relished the tranquility. Exactly what city dwellers need to unwind. Plus there's a hot tub. Fantastic setting and very comfortable accommodation. The Tractor Shed is well equipped with everything we needed during our stay including a hot tub and a bbq. Big deck overlooking the vineyard with a view to the lake - great for relaxing and listening to all the birds. Minutes from Duncan, and a great spot from which to visit the local wineries. Mike and Robin live just across the way and are available to answer any questions that might come up while you are there. After a busy day it ws so nice to come home for a soak in the hot tub. So peaceful and private.
