"Very large room in a quiet part of the hotel and close to the swimming pool. Swimming was a pleasure as the water was warm and the pool large enough to swim actual lengths. Pleasant staff. Extensive breakfast buffet. Location looks remote at first glance but a good base for exploring Galloway or travelling on into Ayrshire."

"Very much enjoyed staying at this hotel. Staff were very good, even at the late time we came in at. Hotel is situated a little ways off the main road in very picturesque and ideal spot. Rooms were clean and the front area of the hotel was an amazing area to just sit in for a bit. Old woodwork with comfortable yet antique style furniture. "

"Quirky little place with friendly staff, we enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast. The room was small but cosy and both found the bed comfy with good nights sleep. I knocked off score for cleanliness due to thick dust in areas but other than that the whole stay was very reasonable for such cheap price and we will definitely be back. Thank you "
