Minor issues with lack of stock ( salt, oil, bandaid, abundance of basement bugs, bed screws sticking out etc) the biggest deal breaker for us (with 3 small kids on the beach property) is the lack of laundry. Listing says laundromat around the corner. That corner turns out to be a 10 min drive to a swanky laundromat that costs 20(!) to do a single load. We brought 5 changes of clothes for 3 days and did laundry once but still ran out of clothes for the kids. they did have a wonderful time to be sure. The house sleeps many people comfortably and the owners have anticipated everything you might need to host friends and family. The kitchen is well-appointed, there is a gas grill, 2 SUPs, several beach chairs, beach toys for kids, and a roof top deck overlooking the lake. This place can’t be beat for location and amenities. He wanted to be buried next to my grandparents. The house was perfect for all of us as we came from all different continents for this. Once again we had a fabulous time!The first night we tried to cool the bedrooms down with the AC units and discovered they weren’t working, but Steve had a technician out the next day to fix them. We loved the beach access and had a blast swimming in the lake and using the paddle boards. We also enjoyed the fireplace on the roof of the garage. We saw a couple of big ships come in and being so close to the lift bridge we were able to walk over and get a closer look. The only issue we had was with my short, 72 year old mother who has a bad knee and a bad back. The beds are a little high and she had trouble getting in and out.
