The cabin is situated perfectly in a very private and quiet location with a beautiful flowing creek within steps of the front door! We are already planning for our next visit to this cabin! Was a tiny challenge figuring out the directions and the gate but once in was very nice. Loved the sound of the stream. The beds were a bit like Goldilocks and the 3 bears, Just had to try each to see which one was best. Ended up switching with my friend and we were both happy. Perfect weather and spent most of the time on the porch, if not wading in the water. Kitchen and set up inside was good. Felt very friendly. It is idyllic if you are able to drive in and stay for the duration of your getaway. Once we arrived and settled in to the house, it was very pleasant. We stayed in May and temps were between 45 and 74 degrees, so weather was nice, but we were surprised there was no a/c and thought it should have been mentioned. The house was a little buggy, with a variety of insects making appearances. Not horrible though. The drive to and from was very difficult. We stayed here for our son’s college graduation and it was a pretty treacherous drive up and down to get to the house, and we had to make the trip a few times. You should take an all wheel drive vehicle if possible. We were grateful not to have to do the drive-in or out during a down pour.
