It has been restored and finished to high specifications including air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, LED HD TV and beautiful Brac stone radiators (for winter). It retains many of the original features such as exposed stone walls and wooden beams. The house is located in a quiet location about 5-8 minutes walking distance from two of the entrances to the Old Town, Pile Gate or Ploce Gate, passing the famous street, Stradun, which is a 2 minute stroll from the house. It is also only a few steps from a small gate in the old city wall leading out though to Buza II ('cold drinks' famous bar on the cliffs). There you can swim off the rocks in the crystal clear, turquoise water or enjoy a drink with breath taking views over the Adriatic and amazing sunsets. Highly recommend if you want to be in the old city but in a quiet area. Yes, there are lots of stairs, but it’s manageable and can always stop and look around at the history surrounding you if need a break. The hosts were kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The AC units in both bedrooms and living area worked great as we were there during a hot time. Recommend getting the info for porter service if you have large heavy rolling bags. The top floor terrace has a stunning view over the walls to an island but is still very private, tucked away among the rooftops. The apartment was well stocked and very well organized and in excellent condition. It is a historic building but with all the modern conveniences. The location was stunning being just a minute away from the Jesuit Stairs and heart of Old Town and a Buza Bar so close you don your swim trunks, walk a 100 feet and there you are able to have a drink with incredible views and/or jump in the Adriatic!
