Unique experience !
I tried 2 different rooms and i am happy i did. If you look for ok room with reasonable budget then residence is good. Not fancy but has all amenities of five star hotel, house keeping was good. If you look for luxurious experience and the unique logoon experience then go for lagoon room direct access, otherwise try both like i did. Lagoon room was very nice, size, design & , feeling of real vacation. The amenities were super. Room service was good & tasty. Now the customer service can be improved. It took me few calls and long waiting to get simple things done like delivering luggage and so. The Spa was super nice, very nice therapists (Thi & Indian ladies both were so good) the facilities good, steam was under maintenance. Rest were good, i recommend Turkish hamam experience. The Saloon has good fast service. The restaurants were good but the highlight of my trip was the Asian restaurant, i visited it twice and i will do again when ever i visit Dubai, it is that good. Food is super! Service was amazing, ambience and live music adds alot to the experience. I would highly recommend the Pomelo salad (was recommended by the waiter) sticky mango rice (it was perfect)! Thanks for all specially Tommy & Baifern ! Also the vegan burger at Australian restaurant was a surprise! It was one of the best i had!

Our room was not ready at check-in, however after some discussion they gave us a family room instead, which was really good and our son enjoyed having his own room and tent. After the initial hiccup they really made up for it and we had a great time

Really great facilities and the breakfast buffet is excellent. However, rooms are outdated and lack some tech perks or anything of that sort. I have booked the rooms that have direct access to the lagoons and there were very noisy neighbors. No welcome drinks , no welcome basket ( not that it important but at least small touches makes some difference) . I would come back the hotel because of the excellent facilities including dining options.

Never mentioned any benefit that I should receive on vip access . I went a night before booking to check the hotel and see the facilities they never mentioned the beach is closed for maintenance . I reserved a resort and pay a lot to enjoy the tan on the beach other wise I could’ve reserve a hotel with way much cheaper and save the high rate that I paid for this hotel .

Once in a lifetime, too expensive to go often!
The room was amazing, we booked the over water 1 bedroom villa. It wasn't private as people were in the sea looking in right outside our balcony room and when we looked outside the bath window so wasn't very private! The service was amazing and BoBo made us feel so welcome and took great care of us during our stay. The view of the fishes in the floor window was amazing, but the storm on our second night was a bit scary watching the sea splash up under the villa through that window. Everything was totally amazing except the food was very expensive. Service and cleanliness was impeccible.

The staff was incredible in all facets. We HIGHLY recommend staying in the lagoon access rooms. We loved taking advantage of walking off our balcony into the lagoon whether it was early morning, late night, or at any point during the day. Was a very relaxing way to spend our time. We had dinner at Bushman's and it was fantastic. Cocktails at Bushman's were great as well. Our daily breakfast at the buffet was good as well. Overall beautiful resort with great amenities. We'll definitely be back and will stay in a lagoon access room again.

The property was well managed from the check-in to check-out. The entire establishment was clean and well maintained both in the room and on the grounds. Everyone was kind and attentive to our needs. Go somewhere else for peace of mind
We booked a villa at the resort to take a long-awaited break and a mini baby moon. Wouldn't recommend the villa stays - very expensive considering the state of the outside (covered in bird faeces, pool needs a daily clean to ensure that all the foliage, berries, bird droppings etc. are cleared out). The inside of the villa is spacious, comfy and elegant. The service during the stay was great but it was all ultimately ruined when the hotel failed to return our deposit for incidentals. They had no issue processing all of our payments but when it came to returning our money, I am still chasing Anantara a week later. The first excuse was that their network was not working and that the money would be returned by the end of the evening and that their staff would update us in a few hours. We heard nothing and had to chase them. We have had to chase Anantara several times as their staff don't both to update, offered no decent explanation for why our money can be taken but not returned and don't seem that bothered. What started off as a relaxing break has become an utter pain and we won't be recommending a stay here to anyone. There are plenty of luxury hotels in Dubai with wonderful sea views and great service that nobody needs to waste quality time with these issues.

Overall the stay was good. Lagoon rooms are very nice and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is good. Service is good. Cleanliness of the lagoon should be improved, and the blue night light installed at the lagoon is a problem that we faced as one of the guests has epilepsy and this light triggers epilepsy so were not able to swim at the lagoon or even sit by it during the evening although we had a direct lagoon access room. The lagoon night light should be changed to normal pool white light to make it friendly to people with neural illness.

The residence were designed plain and did not feel the luxury. However the villas were amazing and i suggest to book villas at the lagoon . Breakfast was in two different resturant and was not impressive at all.

Not so memorable stay at Anantara !
Disappointing. Took a signature spa. Therapy was overall average. Post the therapy we were asked to promptly vacate as they had a couple waiting. We should have been rushed post the spa. Post this we were moved to a relaxing room but we could hardly relax as staff kept moving up and down. Went to the steam room. No attendant. The shower was not working so had to walk up to the spa reception to seek help. They sent the engineers to fix. Preventive Maintenance should have been in place. The whole experience was ruined. Post narrating the experience I received a 50% waiver. I feel it should have been a 100% waiver . As a compensation / service recovery I was offered 50% off on the full price if we went for a spa again. It was a joke as they were anyways running a promotional offer for everyone. I chose not to visit the spa again. The previous night we had a challenge with the room air conditioning. The engineers came around mid night. Had a disturbed sleep. They offered us a late checkout. We however left post lunch. When we went to the beach houses ( coffee shop) the view when we looked outside was that of the back side of an air cooler. Not a pretty sight. Would have expected the management to pay need to the aesthetics. Similar observations at other public areas. On day 3, we observed the housekeeping was not done. As per the hotel the house keeping staff spent 30 minutes in the room whilst we were away. I recall that the bed was not done.
