Fern House is perfectly situated for discovering the rich natural beauty, history, and outdoor adventures of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Right on the doorstep, you’ll find countless woodland trails ideal for walking, cycling, and wildlife spotting. The Forest of Dean is famous for its enchanting ancient woodland—look out for wild boar, deer, and a wide variety of birds. Popular trails include the Sculpture Trail and family-friendly cycling routes from Cannop Cycle Centre. Adventure seekers can try canoeing, kayaking, or paddleboarding on the River Wye, or experience the thrill of Go Ape’s treetop adventures in Mallards Pike.
