"The Hyatt Regency is a reliable hotel that serves as a safe oasis. It is located in Cairo West, which is a bit far from Cairo proper but very convenient for seeing the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza. The staff are attentive and friendly, easily accommodating a fast check-in at 5:00 AM. The common spaces are nice, the pool is enjoyable, and we had good meals throughout our stay, including breakfast on all four days. My only minor critique involves the cafe area. It seems every man smokes in Egypt, but management should try to prevent smoking or the lingering smell of smoke in the cafe. Overall, it is a comfortable and practical choice for visiting the local monuments. You will feel secure and comfortable staying here."

"If you plan to go to the GEM and pyramids while in Cairo, this location is very convenient. Every single staff member was super friendly and went above and beyond to help. My room was clean and modern with a great view of GEM and the pyramids. The breakfast was amazing and so large that it seriously kept me full the whole day so I had to scale down the next few days just so I could try other places- great value! Just note that the surrounding street and neighborhood look a bit disheveled and are not very walkable. There is trash and stray animals, however this is typical of much of Cairo side streets and infrastructure limitations. Don’t let it dissuade you from staying on the property. I always felt the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, 10/10 trustworthy and friendly staff and an amazing value and suburb rooftop view!! I would definitely stay again. Also note that even though the GEM is across the street, you’ll still have to take an uber bc there is no safe way to cross. I never had trouble with Ubers finding the hotel to pick me up. "

"There was no hair dryer, no microwave or fridge the sheets are old if these items can be provided it will be excellent the staff was friendly "

"Unfortunately, the pool experience was a little disappointing. We booked this hotel specifically because they advertised a water park but when we arrived, the pool was ice cold and the slides were closed for the season. I really want to highlight that the staff were absolutely wonderful- truly welcoming professionals. They did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. If you’re hoping to enjoy the pool, I would recommend checking to see if it’s a good time of year. We were there during the last few days of Ramadan, in March. In hindsight, I see this wasn’t an optimal time for a pool visit."

"The bathroom was a very good size, the room and bedsheets clean, breakfast and dinner buffet had plenty to choose from, especially for vegetarians. On request fries can be requested and vegetarian pizza. The staff were very accommodating and the location is in the upper end of the expensive neighbourhood. However, there is not many places to walk to, the location is next to a motorway standard road so you will need to get a taxi if you don't choose half board and do not want to eat at the hotel. Breakfast is from 6am to 10.30am and dinner from 6pm to 10.30pm. The location is away from the scammers part of Giza which is good. The taxi service at the hotel is very poor, the person wanted 40 us dollars for a round trip to Grand Egyptian Museum only 3 miles away and Uber charged 4 us dollars for a round trip. The gift shops within the complex are also a rip off. Overall we were there for 3 nights and really enjoyed our trip and would recommend JAZ pyramids Resort as a good choice."
