"We booked this property at the last minute as our original choice in Tropea was WELL below standard. Gianfranco was very quick to respond and accommodate our suddent change in plans. He readied the house in a few hours for an early check in and even met us in the town piazza to guide us directly to the house. He was an excellent, responsive host. The property is like a dream come true.. gorgeous gardens which we were encouraged to use for our salad and fruit needs. The kitchen is very well...

10/10 Excellent

"Very friendly receptionist helped with our luggage on (late) arrival and showed us to our room. Nice breakfast, comfy bed, would recommend."

Villa Garden

8/10 Good

"Villa Inn is above the lovely town of Tropea and as such a little challenging to go back and forwards to the town / beaches / shopping, etc. The hotel staff arranged a taxi service, yet it was expensive and challenging at times to coordinate. On the positive side, the hotel is small, personable, has great dining facilities with very kind staff and a lovely pool area with views to the ocean below. The front desk was helpful in arranging transport and ferry details and managing the slow wifi for a work zoom meeting. An authentic Italian small village / hotel stay."

Sui Generis

10/10 Excellent

"We have stayed in Tropea before (12 years ago) but this hotel had not been built then. A different part of Tropea but as we arrived our fabulous stay began. The staff here are amazing (all from the Manager, to the Bar staff to the cleaning ladies). The rooms are larger than average with excellent facilities. Each room has its own dedicated sun loungers by the pool. Breakfast is served up top, near the pool. The freshly cooked omelettes and scrambled eggs were delicious. All staff spoke beautiful English and even helped me with my Italian. Recommendations for restaurants did not disappoint. A stones throw from centre of Tropea. No hesitation to recommend this hotel to anyone"

Solmaris Tropea - Rooms & Suites

8/10 Good

"This is a smart hotel where there is no one staffing the front desk after 3! We were delayed in Checking in until 9 pm so the while procedure emailed to us was a little anxiety producing. However, everything went smoothly. We had not reserved parking as we didn’t realize we had to 24 hours in advance, but we were fortunate to find street parking right in front of the hotel, which was good for getting our bags in the room. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom with its jacuzzi tub provided great relaxation after a very bad journey. The morning breakfast bar was extensive and varied and very much enjoyed. We were able to walk into town easily but the hotel is in a quiet area with a wonderful pizzeria across the way."

Capovaticano Resort Thalasso Spa

8/10 Good

"Overall, our stay was satisfactory. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of choices, but the main restaurant’s menu was limited. I also found the air fresheners in the corridors too strong and unpleasant. Our biggest disappointment was the staff’s attitude. While the reception staff were polite, the restaurant staff and others throughout the resort were neither friendly nor welcoming. Guests are there to relax and enjoy their vacation, and a warm smile and pleasant attitude make all the difference. Unfortunately, genuine hospitality was lacking."
