The Pioneer Inn is a great location to experience Lahaina. Sitting on the lanai overlooking Front Street is great for those who like to people watch. Even though there is music coming from the lounges during happy hours, it is quiet by 10 PM and you can not hear anything once inside the room. The hotel came highly recommended to us by friends who have stayed there over the past 3-years. We will definitely return again.

Ok: no tv, no pool, no AC (pretty warm nights), but a beautiful patio on the ocean with spectacular maui sunsets very quiet, and very nice staff, invited me to join a small group emjoying a glass of wine as the colors faded a2ay in the sky.
This is the first time my husband and I stayed at a bed and breakfast. I rated service a 3 because there was no one to meet us upon arrival or departure. In fact, all there really was were computer typed instructions detailing how we go about our stay. Overall, great experience without any significant complaints. I would definitely come back again...if they don't sell it. Yes, the place is for sale.

Great location - right on the beach and an easy walk to the town, shops, and groceries. More shopping a quick drive away. Loads to do in town and on the island. Staff were super friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was clean, up to date and everything worked. We'd go back in a heartbeat! Mahalo!
Easy to recommend. The house is very clean and spacious, both in the room we had as well as the common areas. Our room had a private hot tub, big screen TV, private bath/shower. There is a big outdoor deck with saltwater pool, and smaller upstairs deck for sunset views. Snorkel gear available to borrow. Lots of good stuff and creature comforts.
I was very impressed with the finish quality throughout - well-done tile work, custom stained glass windows and sliding doors, skylight above the shower. I noticed little details like the placement of ceiling lights (for reading in bed) and light switch placement within reach of the bed, and speakers for the TV wall mounted on either side of the bed. Owner put a lot of thought into the details.
Computer was available for surfing, airline check-in. Very extensive collection of DVDs if you want to watch a movie.
Breakfast was good - fresh fruit and muffins (looked like Costco muffins), coffee, juices, cereal. We didn't leave hungry.
Popular downtown Lahaina is packed with galleries, cafes, jewelry shops, and historic sites. Listen for the bells rung each time a buyer opens an oyster and finds a pearl. Step into Chinese and missionary history at the Wo Hing Museum and Baldwin House. Marvel at the sprawling banyan tree off Front Street. From the harbor, hop on a boat for a sunset cruise, or a ferry to Molokai and Lanai islands.
