Quaint, and full of character is how this adorable cottage got its name “Piccolo”.
You will enjoy being able to hear the sounds of the lake as this cottage is only a block away from the Douglas Beach. This adorable cottage features two bedrooms (each with their own bathroom), and plenty of areas to kick back and relax! Enjoy the sun room, back patio or short walk to the beach. Piccolo cottage is just a quick car ride or bike ride to downtown Douglas or Saugatuck.

The home was very clean and well represented. It had everything that we could have asked for. The property management firm was amazing and checked in constantly to insure that we had what we needed. I was very impressed. The location was perfect for us, easy drive to Saugatuck and a nice walk to the beach. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a quiet spot with easy access to many activities.

Beautiful furnishings. Nice size rooms. Appreciated all the games and DVD's at night. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils. A pair of scissors is needed. The fire alarm went off twice. Once when we were cooking, the oven had not been cleaned properly and spilt food from the previous renters had not been cleaned out. The other was at 1:30 in the morning for some unknown reason. We had a wonderful time, great location, enoyed the nearby walking/biking trail. Would definitely return.

The interior was clean and decorated very pleasant! Outside just needed a little sweeping and ants were busy, but location was great for walking to Douglas Beach! I did leave two item in bathroom top right drawer and sent a request to mail without a response .

Great stay with just a few picky notes

The cottage was super comfy, cute, quiet and clean. My only issues were big skylights in both bedrooms that blast you with early morning light with no way of covering them or minimizing the light. The only other thing that would have been appreciated is to have some body wash and shampoo available. These were listed as not included. Otherwise, great stay!The only other thing was tthe light.

Wonderful cottage

The cottage is just always described. We had planned for three girlfriends, but only two of us could make it. It would be perfect for three or four friends. Very clean, well stocked, great location. Would definitely recommend.

This house was charming and a perfect place to relax. One of us suffers from severe allergies and the space under the bed and behind the bedside tables was so dusty, she needed to clean it in order to be able to sleep. But the house was otherwise immaculate and very comfortable! We loved our time there!

Very Nice & Quiet

My cousin and I really enjoyed Piccolo Cottage. It was very clean and decorated nicely. The beds were comfortable and the main bathroom was large. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. Our only complaint was we think it would be very helpful to have a shelf installed over the sink in the small bathroom. Otherwise everything was perfect and we loved the area!

Location, location, location

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this sweet little cottage. The location simply cannot be beat. We started and ended each day on the gorgeous beach, enjoying a brief, albeit heavy trafficked, walk to/from. The house was outfitted with beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. We were also an easy walk from lunch at the Rootbeer Barrell, coffee on the charming main street and other amenities. Communications with the property management company were superb and check-in/check-out straight forward and simple. I was tempted to jump on the rating conga line, but have some feedback that may be helpful to others. First, the bed in the main bedroom has the softest mattress I have ever slept on. My back has been complaining ever since I departed. The pillows were also uncomfortable. I had read a review from a year ago detailing some elements lacking in the kitchen. My family and I really enjoy cooking together and enjoying leisurely meals around a table. The property manager had responded that they would let the owners know of the concerns that had been shared, but clearly there was no response. There is no pot in the entire kitchen that is large enough to accommodate boiling a box of pasta, or an ear of corn that has not been snapped in two. Purchasing a 4-piece set of pots and pans would not be costly and would go a long ways toward ameliorating the usability of the kitchen. I also think that one somewhat thin, somewhat small bath towels/person is inadequate for a 5-day stay.

Great Location

The cottage was quaint and really close to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the atmosphere of the town. Our only drawback was there were not shades for the overhead lights so it stayed light in the rooms past bedtime for our kids which made it a little challenging for them to sleep. Other than that, great outdoor space, enough room to hang out together, and many great things to do around town.

Cozy Vibe, Great Location

Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Location is amazing; we walked to the beach. Only issues were master shower not working properly and floors overall were dirty (but everything else was very clean). Loved staying there! Highly recommend!

Perfect Location!

Perfect location for girl’s weekend! This is our second stay! We enjoyed time in Saugatuck, Douglas & Holland with this central location. The VRBO was clean & the just the right size. We will be back again!
