My stay was significantly impacted by the behavior of two receptionists at the hotel. Upon arrival, I questioned the necessity of providing my information again, as it had already been submitted through Expedia.com. Unfortunately, the receptionist's response was rude, despite his ability to communicate in English. Additionally, he did not direct me to a colleague who could assist in English. When I inquired about my room requests, the receptionist became defensive and aggressive, insisting that such requests were against hotel policy, although doing it later on with no issue. His behavior escalated to shouting and mocking, which was deeply unacceptable. Despite my attempts to address the situation with his colleague, who refused to provide the manager's contact information or the name of the rude staff member, no resolution was reached. While the staff member later apologized privately, this was not sufficient given the public humiliation I experienced. Despite contacting management through Expedia, I have yet to receive a response or sincere apology. This review is written in a tame way, my emotions and anger is far beyond what I am allowed to write here.

The rooms are outdated. The elevators are always broken or only one working. There is no washing machine or facilities like the website says. The entrance and dining area are really great though and the staff are 5xxxxx

These people were amazing! After a horrible experience at a hotel minutes before and having to book a new one, this was a breath of fresh air. The staff was so nice, the room was so clean, and i just couldn't say enough good about it.

Terrible service, wildly overpriced
I’ve been traveling all over Europe for business for a decade, and have come to Dortmund many times. This hotel is truly one of the worst I’ve ever seen, especially given the nightly rates. This would still be a terrible hotel for €50/night and at nearly €300/night it’s outrageous. Check-in took very long and even though I had my reservation confirmation and had paid in advance, the rude front desk employee tried to say that they were overbooked and we could have our rooms. We tried to order bottles of water at the bar in the lobby and they told us they didn’t sell water (with bottles clearly in the fridge behind them). My room was flooded one night and I called the front desk 9 times for help, finally walked downstairs to find 3 employees at the desk doing nothing. They told me they couldn’t move my room because they were overbooked, so they brought up a bunch of towels and threw them on the ground and said it was “fine”. Terrible breakfast, terrible service, wildly overpriced. Dirty rooms and hallways with holes in the sheets. No air conditioning and very noisy all night long.

Very nice property inside and out, and in terms of location. 6 minute walk to the Hauptbahnof is amazing. Rooms were nicely made up too, and we were given quite a large room on the top floor. The staff are exceptional. Will come back next year, thankyou.

It was a nice hotel but the price in the app did not mach the price we had to pay at the Hotel. The stay got about 25 euro more expensive, even though I showed the price I got in the app. Not good.

Das Personal war freundlich. Hatte 3 Tage Aufenthalt dort wegen Geschäftsreise (Zimmer 308). Er war sehr laut, da das Zimmer auf zur Hauptstraße lag... Rumschreihende Ausländer von der Strasse, die einen die Nacht zum Tag machen lassen. Andere Hotelgäste auf der Etage, die in der Nachtruhe ihre Hotelzimmer-Türen knallen lassen müssen, dass man sich jedesmal erschrickt, Löcher in den Gardinen. Zu hohe Badewannen zum Duschen. Hätte mir beim Ausstieg fast die Knochen gebrochen, weil ich leicht ausgeruscht war. Auch der mangelhafte Fernsehempfang einiger Sender muss ich leider bemängeln. Fazit: Für ein Hotel der Kategorie 4 Sterne, ist das was ich dort auf meinem Zimmer erlebt habe, keine 4 Sterne wert.
