"Fantastic family friendly hotel"
I was really impressed with this hotel as they have thought through everything a family needs. With 3 dinner sittings (high tea for little kids, family dining and then adult only dining with baby listening), it was really easy to manage bedtimes/early dinner times. Plus the food was delicious! There are free activities for children every day, plus 3 indoor pools, a massive indoor play space and lots of fun outdoor space to play in. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff bent over backwards to help us out. Location is also great - close to Weymouth, with it's beach, Sea Life Centre, Sand World, Jurassic Skyline and other attractions, and on the other side fossil hunting at Charmouth beach. Also very close to Abbotsbury Swannery, Monkey World and ton of other attractions. We wished we had booked for longer!

"Nice hotel close to the beach"
I thought paying for 24 ours but we got the room at 2.30 pm and had to leave it at 10.30 am. The floor and bed are creaky and the windows are very dirty

"Beautiful Gardens and great location"
We had a lovely stay at the Chine. Our family room was a good size although one of the trundle beds was not the most comfortable. Even though the room decor was rather dated it was more than adequate and the sea views more than made up for it. The only thing that I found unpleasant was the lack of fresh scent of some of the pillow cases. They did smell as though they'd been left in a washing machine for 3 days. The gardens were amazing. The outdoor pool excellent. The indoor pool and jacuzzi, a bit dated again but absolutely fine. The staff were great. We did have dinner at the hotel and that could be improved upon somewhat. We will return.

"Pleasant stay in a comfortable hotel. "
Friendly check in service. Not so friendly was £10 a night charge to park in their car park. Room was clean fresh and well appointed. Slightly disappointing was that the bedroom windows refused to shut due to them being very old crittal single glazed frames and the hinges were totally siezed due to layer upon layer of paint over probably 30 years. Fine in summer when the weather is warm but in October it did mean the room got quite cold at night. Restaurant food, as well as the range of choices, was good but on the dear side. The bar prices for drinks, hot beverages and snacks were expensive - £3.25 for a cappuccino, £5.95 for a glass of wine and £6 plus for a G&T. Despite this we would go again to this hotel but probably park the car on Merrick road where parking charges only apply 9am to 5pm

"Great value for the price"
I booked my staying last minute so the deal was tempting. 26 quid for two just few minutes walk from seaside. Decent size of room, not brand new furbished but clean and tidy. Comfortable, quiet and very warm at cold autumn night. Bathroom size is awesome. Bar is open till late and prices are surprisingly low. 2.90 for San Miguel draft or 3.95 for Chilli Con Carne is more than fair for the portion and quality. Staff is friendly. Location is great. Some bits and pieces of the buildings are worn out, like lifts, corridors. But if you expect Hilton for this price, this hotel is not your choice. Otherwise I would go back. It was a right choice.
