Great business stay in Dongguan
I've stayed in this hotel many times for business over the years. The design and the interiors are perhaps a bit outdated already, but it's a very comfortable stay with great service, good food, spacious room and decent sport facilities. Also conveniently just a short walk away from the busy shopping streets.

I’d stay again
The Sheraton is a great choice if you are visiting the Dongguan area in China. It has multiple restaurants to choose from my favorite is the Italian one. The staff is great, very accommodating for getting things like transportation or special requests.

Incorrect Information in Hotels.com
I booked with Hotels.com for a room with 2 double beds + Sofa Bed + Breakfast for 3 people. However when I checked in and I was told that this room type next existed, the information in Hotels.com is not correct, and finally I have no choice but pay extra charge for extra bed and 1 more breakfast. I was really disappointed with the hotel booking this time, would Hotels.com please review and update the room type correctly to avoid other customer to suffer the same.

The room seems not quite to the specification to the star rating. Shower was very weak, minibar fridge is just at room temperature, room size seem not quite as large as what is advertised.

I have been staying at this hotel every few months for 10 years. In CHina this is a great hotel experience. Two things I look forward to here are a comfortable bed and high quality food. 5 stars on both of those. The breakfast is consistent and excellent. They have a real Italian chef running the kitchen and he makes sure that the food quality is the highest. He brings Italian food integrity with him to the Sheraton. I stay here to start my business trip every time (after the long flight from North America) because a stress free couple of nights and mornings is just what I need to regain my energy. From here I travel to other cities in South China and stay in always the best hotels, this Sheraton has been my favorite and has earned my loyalty!

Not good anymore.
I have stayed at this hotel for many years, multiple times a year, and I've never had too many complaints. This time I was so grossed out my the lack of cleanliness in my room, I will never go back. (ie. hair on the shower walls that was not mine, & what I hope was just dried lotion on the marble wall in the bathroom) also there was a battery missing from the back of the remote which I called about so I could use it, and no welcome fruit like previous visits. I didn't even attempt the food situation because they have scaled back so much.

The hotel would not honor my orbitz reservation even with a print out and my phone showing the email from orbitz. They refused to contact Orbitz to resolve the problem. I ended up going accross the street and getting a room at the HJ International. Fun stuff!

Deep in the heart of Dongguan
The Sheraton DG is a good business hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable although the WiFi in my room was not exceptional. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is pricey for China standards but good. The morning buffet was in a very nice setting and was a refreshing start to my day. The hotel staff was excellent in providing options when I needed to reserve transportation.

I have been staying at the Sheraton DG for over 10 years. This hotel needs a serious renovation. Everything is old and dingy. The foot massage that used to be in the hotel is gone. Luigi's is closed for lunch. The lobby is dated and the rug is gross. The flower arrangement in the lobby used to be AMAZING, now is measly. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful but a reno is way overdue!

Best hotel in Houjie. Also best breakfast buffet.
