Booked Thorne Central last minute due to meeting been cancelled till next day my room was a single very clean x warm and lots of hot water for mornimg shower plus there is a couple of pubs nearby and take aways for food

Friendly couple. Decent size en suite double for £30. 2 or 3 pubs a stones throw away. Can't fault it, excellent value for money!

No breakfast

Hi hotel was ok room was fine beds were clean linen ok. Got told on arrival there would be no breakfast no explanation? But they still charged me full amount then took a extra £1 don’t know what that was for. In all not very happy with my experience.

A celebration

Another great stay. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating the rooms are very clean and spacious and breakfast is excellent would recommend anyone to stay here it really a great guest house.

Weekend visit

Stayed for the weekend for a meeting (AGM weekend for the Fair Organ Preservation Society), including a visit to the Sandtoft Trolleybus museum. Very enjoyable stay - clean and comfortable room, very quiet, good breakfast, friendly owners who made me feel welcome. Very good value. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Defo will not stay there again!

I got to the hotel to find there was no parking space due to the car park being full of construction vans. I then parked my car down the road and had to walk back to the hotel. When I got to the door I rang the bell a few times, but did not get a response. Then I rang the phone number on the sign and was told someone would be there in 2 minutes. Well it was longer than that - I was out there about 10 minutes, bearing is was very cold and drizzling. Was then taken to my room which was that small you could swing a cat in it. The toilet went underneath the basin, so you can imagine what a squash that was. The TV was on top of the wardrobe so watching TV with a crick in your neck. The chair in the corner was that tatty, there was no way I was going to sit on that. There was no hair dryer and no hot chocolate, which usually is available when I have booked previous hotels. Then I had to pay in the morning and not when I arrived. I entered, I think the kitchen, as the connecting door was locked. I was greeted with an astounded stare until I said I am here to pay. It was noisy as I could here them in the room next to me and about 6am some kind of fan went on. So much for setting my alarm clock for 7.30am. The bed I slept in was not comfortable and I could feel the springs. Must be an old matrass? I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. I'd rather pay a little more and get comfort and good service.

I just needed somewhere to sleep for one night,

I just needed a place to sleep overnight, the Thorne Central Guest House was the cheapest on offer. Comfortable bed, en suite, nothing wrong with that, but its a place where they come and let you in, and then go home no staff live there. The heating was off and we couldnt get it back on even when the landlord came back out. I moved rooms to a one which was warmer although the radiator didnt come on in that one either/ The hot water was OK in the shower.

Would not stay again

Comfy bed, that's where it ends. slow check in someone had to come from elsewhere to book me in nobody on site, limited car parking, hard to find, small double room, was in for two nights and the same damp towel that I used on the first night was hung up and left for me again for 2nd night. poor breakfast Sausage was cremated, the bacon rock solid bent my fork trying to pick it up.

Overnight stay for Doncaster races

We stayed overnight here as we were going to Doncaster Races to see Simply Red. We arrived early and,as our room was ready, we were allowed to leave our cases. I would recommend anyone going to Doncaster to stay here. There is a very good train service to Doncaster which runs very frequently and is only 5-10 min walk from the guest house. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee. Theach staff were so helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend the guest house to family and friends
