This was our second visit, this time for 11 days. We love this hotel , but particlularly the staff who are all so friendly and welcoming and make this a really first class hotel. Apart from this the hotel facilities and condition is excellent, and the area in which it is located is convenient both for world class shopping but also the metro system. Doha is a marvellous city and will become more and more popular in our opinion.

We enjoyed our stay and the staff generally were very pleasant and courteous. HOWEVER WE DID NOT FEEL THAT THE BENEFITS OF HAVING A CLUB ROOM WERE EXPLAINED CLEARLY TO US. SPECIFICALLY WE MISSED OUT ON FREE DRINKS BETWEEN 6PM AND 8 PM WHICH WE WOULD HAVE ENJOYED.

We has a fantastic stay at the Intercontinental. All the staff were brilliant as soon as we entered the premises. Very efficient and polite. The catering staff (Vihan, Chef Sekar and Motasem) from the Square restaurant went beyond to make us extra happy with very tasty food and a smile.

Intercontinental hotels are consistent in their quality and service. For my case this hotel in Doha City was perfect. It was in a great location, the price was right and the included breakfast was one of the best. It was clean, the service was great and loved our king bed room. Totally recommend it

Great hotel on the near fringe of downtown
The Intercontinental Doha IHG is an excellent hotel - 5 stars. The room and hotel facilities were top notch, including internet, exercise room, roof-top swimming pool and a grand breakfast buffet. The room was spacious (and particularly the bathroom/shower). Housekeeping was daily and very well done. The staff was perhaps the most accommodating, friendly and eager to please that I have encountered in years. The hotel is a bit on the fringe of downtown. That said, it is only a few blocks walk to a Metro station, the convention/exhibition center and the downtown upscale shopping mall. The major downtown government office buildings are also a short walk. For further distances, I did not wait more than 2 minutes when using an app to request a rideshare. This is Doha and it can be very hot (and surprisingly humid) on some days. As a result, air-conditioners are usually running full blast which can be a bit eco-unfriendly. Maybe that is unavoidable given the location, but also maybe the A/C could be a bit moderated. There were otherwise not a lot of efforts at being eco-friendly (for example, no recycle bins). I would definitely stay at the IHG my next trip to Doha. It may be that I just got a good deal on hotels.com. For this class of hotel and facilities, I would expect to pay maybe twice as much in the US for a big-city, downtown location.
