### Polhek - a charming countryside cottage

The Polhek Cottage is a small and cozy haven that's perfect for couples or small families seeking a peaceful getaway. Located in the scenic beauty of the Polhov Gradec Dolomites, the cottage offers respite from the fast-paced city life. Nature lovers and adventure seekers alike will find solace in the numerous hiking trails, where breathtaking views await at every corner. Or, if you prefer a more relaxed experience, you can unwind amidst the gentle sounds of chirping birds and flowing water.  
  
The cottage is surrounded by nature, so you won't be bothering anyone, and no one will bother you, except maybe some mischievous forest animals.   
  
The cottage has three floors, the middle one is where you will be spending most of your time. It includes a bathroom and a single room combining the kitchen, dining, and living room. In the middle of it is a fireplace that will keep you warm in the winter.   
The top floor is the sleeping area, with two single beds and a double bed. There are always a couple of extra blankets and bed linen in the closets.  
The bottom floor is mostly used for storage, but it does house a washing machine and some other things you might find useful.  
  
One thing worth noting is that the last couple hundred meters of the road aren't paved. It's a gravel road, that's decently steep in a couple spots. Most cars shouldn't have any trouble getting to the cottage, but in bad weather it can be a challenge.

We loved the house, it was cozy and comfortable. The sights from the house are amazing! The place is very quiet and beautiful. The courtyard beside the house was also lovely, with benches and a fireplace to enjoy. We really recommend this place!

Genau das was wir erwartet haben. Ein kleines hübsches Häuschen irgendwo im Nirgendwo. Es war alles super gemütlich und ursprünglich. Im Häuschen ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war unproblematisch und sehr freundlich. Was mir in der Beschreibung gefehlt hat aber ich denke erwähnt werden sollte: Die Zufahrt ist ein Wald-Schotterweg, der nicht für jedes Auto zu bewältigen ist. Bei schlechtem Wetter ist das ne kleine Herausforderung. Das Haus verfügt ausschließlich über einen Kamin um das Haus zu heizen. Man sollte mit der Axt umgehen können um ans Brennholz zu kommen. Wir fanden es toll und würden gern wiederkommen.
