"The property itself was very quiet and peaceful, nice and secluded- just what we were looking for. The room was exactly as described and as the pictures showed in the listing. Very clean and cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. And what a great view! Wish I had stayed for longer instead of heading back to Hilo. Highly recommend."

"I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. The only thing to consider is the roosters. If you want to sleep in - close the windows. We didn't, as the black sand beach was all ours at sunrise, then came back to Pahala for coffee at the Ka'u Coffee Mill. "
