"Nice and comfy room. Beautiful garden with many beautiful birds and other wildlife. Close to the beach. Plus is for the distance to Galle Road (which is very noisy). The dinner was good, but far from great. The curry’s are way to salty. Same as for the breakfast (don’t try the chocolate pancakes). Beautiful place and very friendly staff. - Big minus for the hotels own landfill that you see if you take a walk outside the fences. They should really clean that up. Not ok! "

"Overall, this hotel is very average. There were a few positive and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. After asking for water and toiletries, they were eventually provided. They let me shower after checkout and stored my bag, which was nice! The room is very average, but there was a gap above the door that didn’t shut all the way which let bugs in at night. "By far the best place we've stayed in on our trip. Here's why... Really quiet location away from the street noise/pollution. Very helpful, welcoming owners that don't bother you, yet go the extra mile to help (for example when I cut my foot open from too much beach dancing!). The room had all the subtle, useful things we often need as travellers...towels that are absorbent (not tissue paper! :-)), soap, spare loo roll, a knife (I used it to peel an orange), kettle, mosquito net that is...

"Wir haben zwei Nächte im Royal Palace verbracht. Der Besitzer war sehr nett und freundlich und hatte immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das köstliche, abwechslungsreiche und reichhaltige Frühstück – das beste, das wir während unseres zweiwöchigen Aufenthalts in Sri Lanka hatten. Die Lage ist strandnah und in der Nähe der Hauptstraße. Vom Balkon aus hat man Blick auf eine kleine Straße, die tagsüber recht belebt ist (vor allem durch die vielen Tuk-Tuks). Das Zimmer war...

"From the moment we arrived to leaving we felt like royality. The hospitality of ALL the staff was outstanding! We stayed 7 nights here and we didnt want to leave… the staff & owners just take time for you, full of smiles and will do absolutely anything for you! Its the best hospitality we have ever received and we have been to many countries! The food was perfection! I dont think ive ever had such beautiful hotel breakfast! Our room was stunning! And the setting for this hotel is just WOW! Definitely a jungle vibe! These owners are so lovely, 2 dutch guys who clearly look after their staff and guests! The chef just amazing too who often comes out and asks how your food was. It was my husbands 50th birthday whilst we were there and they made such a special effort for him. For valentine’s meal, each guest could choose a fish which they caught that day & it was beautifully cooked! The guys on reception helped us with everything!! This hotel is uniquely beautifully built, but has the best service ever! Thank you we will be back ❤️"
