Stay away. Lobby looks ok. Beyond that overflowing trash cans in the hallways each floor. Scary walk to room down run down upkept walkways/hallways. First room given was not even put together literally. Had to make the ling walk to office to receive another key to yet another trash room. Which was not clean. Heater did not work and frudge was beat up and did not work. The wash cloth and 2 towels wasclith provided appeared to gray and old. Had a late flight so had to find another hotel in the middle if the night. Exoedia was not able tobwork with the hotel that refused to offer a credit or refund the stay. Baymont -The Wyndham Grouo of hotels second hotel in the state of michigan that I have been just total trash hotels. STAY AWAY. Needs to be knocked down. Felt as if I was in a abandoned hotel turned crackhouse. Lobby was the only half decent part of hotel.

The rooms were below average. The doors didn’t have locks on them so i didn’t feel pretty safe with my daughter there. The sink drain was stopped up and the shower didn’t work. But they switched my room but yeah probably won’t come back. This the second time. The desk manager was amazing though

The best part of the place was the front desk help. And that's it. We should have ran, but couldn't, since i had made the reservations through Expedia. My room key wouldn't work, and after schlepping our luggage up and down the steps 5 times, maintenance finally came to help me open the door, which he did with a master key and his foot. The key reader was broken somehow (you could see a big ding in it where someone had hit it with something hard), but what was worse was the overwhelming stench of wet dog and dirty feet when the door was opened. We went back down (trip 6) to the front desk , where the maintenance guy told the front desk person that the room did smell awful. We were given a new room, two rooms down from the one that was being used as an apartment...(ashtray out in front and people hanging around outside talking loudly). That room didn't smell as badly of dog, but still smelled bad. There was a hole in the wall that looked like someones head had gone through it, and my granddaughter then says "oh look...part of the light switch is gone"... the corner of the light switch in the bathroom area was broken and you could see inside to the components. I pulled the sheets back to make sure there weren't bedbugs (yes, it's that kind of place). After a trip to Walgreens and three different room deodorizers / and one can of microban, it smelled better and i wasn't concerned about diseases. Seriously, the price is cheap for a reason. Stay somewhere else.

Currently Canton Baymont is Unacceptable
I stayed on the 3rd floor. Elevator was out. Walked to 3rd floor via stairs and neither door on north or south ends closed all the way (no security therefore). Door on south end did not even have a handle to pull nor working card reader so had to walk back to ground level and around the building to enter 3rd floor on north end, which did not close all the way either. I would guess this violates building code. Nearly 75% of rooms on 3rd floor had large tape X's on them making it look like they were condemned. Paper liner on carpet added to the feeling. No warning that hotel was under reconstruction (I hope anyway). Several rooms on first floor also visibly out of service. Lobby area was fine. Breakfast runs 6-9 am but by 8:30 am half of the breakfast offerings were out (no OJ being one). Reserved two nights but room cards only programmed for one night, even though I asked the check-in clerk to be sure to program the cards for two nights. More unnecessary stairs. While waiting to check-in one woman approached the front desk and threw room key on the counter saying "I can't stay in that dog room" which concerned me from the start. Not staying at this hotel ever again. Guessing you WON'T publish this review, maybe you'll fix things.

This was the dirtiest room I’ve ever seen. It reeked of cigarettes everything was outdated chairs and drapes and carpet were stained l. I didn’t even stay. I walked in and walked right out and stayed somewhere else

Overnight stay for work, staff was great, bed was comfortable, our door was hard to open and the bathtub water had a slow but steady stream all of which we notified the front desk of at checkout. Plenty of food options right in the area along with shopping. Breakfast in the morning was egg rounds and sausage but they only put a few peices out at a time so you had to keep asking for them to fill it up. Overall i would stay again.

I was very uncomfortable. I knew I wasn't staying at a 5 star resort but GOD. There was a leak in the ceiling and we had a rusty microwave, we couldn't even heat our left overs. Not to mention the bed had Hella stains.. Service was not great, but there was one young lady who actually tried to help us. I was coming for Thanksgiving yes, but also was there because my dad had passed.... I don't recommend staying here at all. And the elevators were broken! like... it was a no for me.

Booked a “King Suite” with a Jacuzzi in the room and showed up to nothing. Staff did nothing and said they don’t have tubs. Rooms were clearly being remodeled to take them out. Honesty and acknowledgement of the problem would of been appreciated to correct the situation instead of lying. This truly is a motel and needs to be labeled as such.

The service was bad. We stayed three days because there was a Michigan game no other hotels were available. Service was terrible. Trash was never picked up, had to ask for several time for new towels, breakfast was bad. The whole hotel had a musty smell. If there are no other, stay here otherwise stay somewhere else

Very disappointed
I booked this hotel in September, my room was to be a double bed. I called the day before was reassured our room would be available. Arrived at 1130pm after 10 hr drive with my 22 yr old son... our double bed was not available, was given a king bed..... ok.... cigarette butts all over the property, my son took a shower sat morning... water was still standing in tub on checkout Sunday. We were offered to be moved the next day... but we were not able to be there. Overall everyone was friendly but it could use some overall cleaning. Not impressed at all.

Only the bed was comfortable
The hotel was very run down, the carpet was dirty, the wallpaper was peeling off the wall, the kleenex box was empty when we arrived. The shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were all different brands so it looked like they may have been used already. The hairdryer didn't stay running and had sticky black stuff on the on/off switch. The water in the sink drained very slowly. The room wasn't cleaned - we were told at checkout that they only change the towels/sheets every three days -- I didn't realize that meant no cleaning at all for the 2 nights we stayed. The furniture was stained. The breakfast ran out of eggs and there were no more - we asked. Overall it was a very disappointing vacation and I would not recommend this hotel for anyone else to stay at.

The hotel as a whole is very dirty. The breakfast tables looked like they were cleaned with grease. And I was one of the first ones there in the morning. Asked three different times for wash cloths. Was told they did not have any. We stayed four nights. It would have been nice to have towels. Elevator was not cleaned for months. Breakfast food ran out fast.

Reconsider before staying at this Hotel !!!
The place was over booked. We booked a room with 2 queen beds but during check out they said that the only option was a room with King bed with an extra roll-in bed. We took the option but did not get the roll-in bed therefore three of us landed up sharing the king bed.

I wanted to share with deep regret that this hotel is terrible hotel and falls short of me calling a homeless shelter. The room I booked was given to someone else because they are overbooked and told us to get a room in another hotel. We had multiple people who are in the same situation. Then after arguing they told me that they upgraded to suite but the room is so terrible that there was dust on mirror that we could see clearly. Second the door to room does not close properly, carpet on the room so bad that it has paint stains all over the place and sink in main room was filthy. To top it all they call us at 4.00 AM and asking if everything was ok because they heard loud banging in the hotel. I request Expedia to remove this hotel from the listing as pictures are completely fake and it does not look anything close. Unfortunately that weekend was parent weekend at a local university and all hotels are booked. I request this to be passed to appropriate authorities ao that action can be taken.

The hotel is very old. The furniture is worn out, faded, chipped, etc. the walls are paper thin so you hear EVERYTHING happening in the hotel. The breakfast was a joke. You’re better off going to Bob Evan’s across the parking lot

Beyond unacceptable
This hotel needs a COMPLETE overhaul!! The cleanest thing about this place is the lobby .. The hallways, breezeway, and stairs are all filthy .. The room was stuffy, the carpet could have at least been vacuumed, the towels and wash clothes were thin, the toilet didn’t flush, the door on the bathroom wouldn’t close and when you took a hot shower the steam caused the fire alarm to go off … The mattress and box spring were horribly stained, and the comforter was burned and even the rusty ironing board was broken !! The best part of this room was that the water got hot !! It’s sad to see hotels in these conditions where consumers are spending their money to sleep while out of the comforts of their own homes or out of town …

First room they checked us into had blood stains on the pillows and old pee stains on the sheets and comforter. Floors were filthy the couch and chair had stains as well. When we brought it up to the staff they said well the stains are clean and that’s why we cover them in layers. Then told us they do not throw stained stuff away bc it’s cleaned so why not keep it and use it. They moved us rooms where the bed and couch were better but our tub ran all night because it wouldn’t shut off no matter what my husband did and the door wouldn’t latch to close. The tub drain was also covered in mold and dirt. Horrible place to stay and will never stay there again

Unsafe, definitely not "non-smoking"
Super run down, ducktape holding things together in the room. Leaky rusty bathtub. Stained wallpaper. Very nasty, dirty rooms. Even though advertised as non-smoking, the room reeked of smoke and after only being in for a few minutes to set bags down my asthmatic lungs were already on fire. No way to safely sleep here if you have any type of lung condition. Booked for 2 nights and was in the room a total of 5 minutes, was given no compensation for a false statement of "non-smoking" that made me very sick. Not a single penny back let alone full refund. Not okay to have the rooms in this condition & say they are non-smoking. VERY dangerous.
