    Macau Hotel Guide

Located on the western bank of the Pearl River Delta in the Chinese province of Guangdong, Macau is a beautiful place where east meets west. During the 1550s, the region that is today known as Macau was a major entry point for trade between China, Japan, Europe, and India. As trade between Europe and China grew, Macau became a popular recreational spot for European traders. Today, it's easy to book a cheap Macau hotel deal.

    What to Do

Considered by many to be the best attraction in Macau, the Ruins of St. Paul is a must see. St. Paul was destroyed by fire in 1835, and today, the ruins consist of the facade of the cathedral and St. Paul's college.

A-Ma Temple is an area steeped in the religious folklore of Macau, and Macau's name is derived from A-Ma-Gau, or Place of A-Ma. According to lore, a poor girl who was denied passage to Canton by the rich, but helped by the poor, arrived here and ascended to godhood. The fishermen who lived here built her a great temple.

If you like to gamble, then you simply must visit Venetian Macau. This casino is the world's largest and includes top-notch shopping, classy accommodations with great prices on rooms, and an authentic Venetian gondola. The Venetian is one of the top Macau hotels.

    "Overall nice experience! "
We were impressed by the room service, the quality and quick responses to our requests. The room was fine. The only hiccup was they didn't have our room ready yet by 6pm (the checkin time is 3pm). The staff told us to come back later, and it wasn't until we complained that he got his manager to give us another room. This was unprofessional, especially since this is a highly reputed hotel.
