"Hotel and grounds have definitely not been updated in a very long time. The pics are probably from when the hotel opened and are not accurate at this time. Found someone’s night cap behind the bedside table and small ants in the room. Staff was very nice and had an enjoyable time in the bar area. Excellent seafood quesadillas!"

"Most of Grand Lucayan is closed from hurricane Mathew but you don't know this until you arrive. All guests have to stay at Lighthouse point which is nice but with not nearly as many amenities. 2 less pools , less convenient dining options, the Casino never reopened. Some of the staff, outdoor bar. Towel hut, seemed to have lost that happy, helpful, attitude, one bartender was even rude everyday. " Our stay at SLS Baha Mar was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We came for our honeymoon and were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite at check-in, which immediately made the experience feel special. The suite was spotless, quiet, and beautifully maintained. Daily housekeeping kept towels and toiletries fully stocked. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly kind and attentive and truly seemed to care about making our stay exceptional. The level of service throughout the resort genuinely stood out. The property itself offers so much to do. We loved the waterpark, animal sanctuary, casino, and booking excursions through Discover Bahamas. We booked a same-day snorkeling trip that included transportation directly from the resort. It felt safe, well-organized, and allowed us to snorkel over reefs, swim with sharks, and see amazing wildlife. Dining options were excellent, though the added taxes do make food a bit expensive. That said, the variety and quality were great. We felt very safe and well cared for throughout the entire stay. When we had a flight issue and needed to extend our stay, Miguel at the front desk went above and beyond to help us keep our suite and made everything seamless. We will absolutely return and have already recommended Baha Mar to family. An unforgettable experience."
